RE: Sellers26 Sep 2017 11:58
I agree Quad, O1N made a significant contribution to the board and was a sad loss.
Many people seem to believe the SP to be solely controlled by malign Market Makers up to dirty tricks, however I am convinced that, while there is no doubt algorithms their system employs will be optimised to their benefit, it is nevertheless responsive primarily to genuine investor sentiment.... If holders refused to sell their shares for less than 20p then that would set the minimum price and it could only go up from there.
While investors should do their own research and not be influenced by posts on a BB, in practice it seems that many follow the lead of strong characters such as O1N and latterly w1%ard... I respected O1N as his enthusiasm was underpinned by thorough research and factual evidence. On the other hand the more negative posts have been primarily focused on spreading unfounded fear. Unfortunately this has become a self-fulfilling prophesy as even O1N caved in and sold up.
Like I said, the SP can only drop if people sell and holders would do themselves a huge favour imo if they refused to be intimidated by pressure to give up their shares for less than they are worth. The desire for 'top-up' opportunities at ever decreasing prices is also counter-productive and does no favours to those seeking value.
I have no doubt MAFL will deliver in its reliable spectacular style but we will only see that reflected in the SP by first maintaining the current level by not selling and then, crucially, attracting new investors.
While the content and tone of this board shouldn't matter a jot, in reality I believe we would be wise to stay mindful of past contributions, both positive and negative, and the influence they have had.
In the meantime if you want a higher SP then don't sell - simples!!
IMHO, DYOR, GLA etc etc
