I don't understand the need to increase their stake, to be able to encourage route sharing .
After all, BA / IAG have goodness knows how many different types of agreement regarding code sharing , route sharing, partnerships, franchises etc etc without the need to stake build ?
I cannot imagine Qatar increasing their investment, if they did not think they would make a profit from it .
I notice on another forum, people are speculating that IAG could always float off BA but again I don't see the benefit , as Qatar would still retain a percentage of any floated entity.
I agree regarding EU rules on ownership ( I think it is limited to 49%) but the question is , Which legal area does IAG fall under ?
EU or UK ??
