I think they missed a trick here and should have approved runways at Heathrow and Gatwick, possibly even Stansted also.
Major error and I think it could present hurdles in the years to come.
As O'Leary said on Bloomberg, by the time it gets built, it will already have reached capacity and people will be asking when it the 4th runway going to happen.
Gatwick has to be approved, if they want to maintain competition .
I kind of agree with your order of importance but would place them as follows;
(1) Q3 Update
(3) US Presidential Election
(2) British pound
(4) Oil price/Fuel Price
They should have hedged the fuel price, although it looks as if they didn't hedge very well last time.
Historically they hedge circa 9 months ahead, so should do well at these levels.
I've altered the election, as it is so imminent and I think if America gets it's first female president, there will be a further up tick in stock prices, at least in the short term.
