Not quite sure what the US pilot salary has got to do with anything ?
The cost of living in the US is higher than in the UK .
If BA pilots want a US salary they can leave and apply to an American airline BUT they won't because they know which side their bread is buttered.

Pilots don't go into cheap hotels. In fact they often stay in hotels different to cabin crew and a much better standard.
Let's not forget , in the event of an emergency, it is the cabin crew that deal with it NOT the pilots.
The cabin crew need their rest as much as the pilots do but sadly the pilots couldn't give two pence about the people behind the flight deck door.
It's all about them .com

Pilots sleep on the aircraft
20 minutes after take off and they are already in the bunks watching movies. on LH.
Meanwhile the cabin crew work for a living and Bl..dy hard !

Well this is entirely incorrect. They have benefited from pay rises over the last 10 years, in addition they have substantially benefited from 10 years worth of 'share gain. A benefit that was not offered to other employees and which was worth tens of thousands to BA pilots.
They were also rewarded by BA for supporting the strikes in 2010.
What is most galling, is that they now use the excuse of wanting to support MF cabin crew as the reason for taking IA, when , you no longer hear of them saying that is the reason. It is now all about their own greed .
They are way overpaid and substantially underworked, particularly LH Pilots who spend a lot of their time reading the papers, watching films or messing about with their ipads.

Just heard via the grapevine that UNITE has accepted the latest negotiated pay deal with BA on behalf of their cabin crew members.
same offer being made to BALPA and the GMB as agreed by UNITE.

The scrip is frankly ridiculous and needs to be closed asap.
They need to be reducing the shares in existence nit increasing them.

But it is not the PM who prevented Brexit...it is all 640 Mp's who are responsible for constantly saying No instead of Yes !..
Anyone who believed the pre referendum hype that the EU would simply roll over and agree to what the UK GOV wanted, was naive .

Can't disagree, they should both be replaced asap as far as I am concerned.

Just my view but I think Staley has been performing abysmally. The Divi is just back at the level;a before he became CEO. he has been sanctioned for targetting a whistle-blower and the fines are continuing .
He continually fails to acknowledge that the IB is performing very badly having negative returns over the last 5 years or so, as an average.
He maintains that the IB will deliver but I have to ask how long it will take to recover the money that the IB has lost due to bad performance.
Staley is an Investment banker which is why he refuses to deal with the abysmal performance of his 'baby'.
It is time that someone shook the tree and if Staley isn't prepared to do it then we need someone who is.
he has no vision and no strategy for rapid improvements and returns to shareholders.
He continually promises that returns will come but consistently fails to deliver.

Any fall in the results for the IB will add fuel to the fire for Bramson and disappoint investors.
Staley could be on a very sticky wicket if the results are reduced for the IB.

Good update onedaywewillbe but Brexit is the fly in the ointment regarding the SP at the moment.

MJM.....I don't think this is feasible .
My broker says the only way is to complete the withholding tax claim form BUT again they say , as my shares are held in nominee form, in a SIPP, the Spanish authorities may not approve the claim. I would also need the help of a Spanish accountant apparently.
