That is the risk we take, Phil. I know you have been here for a lot longer than I have. Perhaps your average is also higher than mine. However, they could have avoided buying any shares and continued to draw their salaries until either they struck a deal, or the cash ran out. Maybe this will not be a successful venture for us, but at least IMO they have shown some sincere intent, unlike so many AIM lifestyle BODs, too numerous to mention. As I have said before, while my eyes are wide open here, I continue to have faith in Iain and the team to come good. To our benefit and naturally to theirs. Maybe not if your average is in the pounds still, but if they pull some good deals off, in time, who knows? But in case I sound like a ramper now, let me repeat - the risks are clear unless/until proven to be otherwise.

A visit to Saudi Arabia will probably be to try and keep them onside as much as possible, given they seem to be moving in the direction of 'the other side'. They have been a very important export market for the UK in certain well-known industries, so hopefully this may also bode well for Harl too. That said, this is purely speculation on my part and probably more wishful thinking, as the likes of BAE probably have such things sown up. Again, just an opinion.

IMO it is simply the early Q2 awaited confirmation of the refinancing deal that is causing this drag on the SP. Get that confirmed and without anything damaging to existing shareholders in the detail, and the SP will react accordingly. Was tempted to add more today, but did not. Will be more than happy if I end up kicking myself for not doing so :) GLA.

Mine is also 20p, although ideally would like to keep a few to run with. Cannot rule out another downside move in PM's, but long term, I remain as bullish on commodities (including gold and silver) as ever. It is only the location here which makes me nervous. The assets, the BOD etc I am extremely comfortable about. Fingers crossed of course!

Thanks, Pokerchips. That is why I suggested a drift lower could happen during the interim. I have seen it happen elsewhere in similar circumstances more than once. Pendragon was one, which gave me several nice quick trades in a lovely range over a few weeks, including a more lumpy profit with the final offer. Luckily I sold up entirely straight away at that point, because the offer was revoked not long after. I did not expect that to happen, but was within a penny or so of the tabled offer, so was happy enough to move on. Not drawing any other comparisons apart from the hope of enjoying another profitable trade here. Hopefully my sharing the target price I have in mind here will also remove any doubt that I am trying to spread FUD. I am simply a PI trying to buy stocks and sell them for a bit more than I paid :)

I actually reviewed my post to see if I had said something that was uncalled for! I am looking for 250p here ideally, but would be delighted with more. I am not familiar with Apollo, but that sounds promising. I tend to prefer to take an initial position in a new (for me) company, try and get a feel for it and then usually build up my holding from there. I also bought a few for my kids, so that should give a measure of my strong hope to see a successful outcome here. GLA.

How rude. I gave the reason for buying at this price, rather than where I think it may go in the short term, should no new/improved offer be tabled. You are entitled to your opinion however, as is everyone. I have decided to join you for a small trade (or investment, depending on the timescale!) Expecting a drift back to 180p or perhaps lower, during a lack of news on the prospects of a t/o. If they walk away and nobody else shows their hand, will add another small tranche at a price that I assume may revisit the 200 DMA. At least in the short term. IMO the size of the salary he takes would only be justified if we were now a seriously cash-flow positive business. Which we should already be, had he delivered on all the patter by now. I accept mistakes happen to the best of companies and even strong, proven CEO's get it wrong sometimes. SOH is a long way from that class to date. I want to regain my faith in him. The ball, in that sense, is entirely in his court. I will also gleefully retract my lifestyle director comment if he proves beyond reasonable doubt that this was unfair. The criteria for this is not opaque! GLA.

I completely agree. A dreadful commercial decision, especially if the plan was to migrate to AIM at any point really, let alone within a couple of years. Firmly in the lifestyle director bin, until proven otherwise. IMO of course and different opinions are allowed, naturally.

I agree - thanks for sharing - but I am only interested in hard revenue specifics and cashflow position going forward here. If SOH actually ends up doing what he is well paid to do, then I may watch and listen to his spiel again in future. I certainly hope that day comes, but it is entirely his own fault that some of us deem his credibility levels to be low/non-existent right now.

Goodness me, the downward pressure on the SP is quite relentless! You would have thought the gold price had cratered if you just looked at the SP here and the other gold miners. Ah well, fingers crossed for a change of direction before too much longer. No more buying from me though unless we see the SP in the 12's (as I originally said I would wait for!) I would not be surprised if it was even going lower. Unless we get unwelcome company-specific news, I will probably buy quite a lot more if 10's are hit. That comment in normal times could be classed as a de-ramp, but IMO we were already significantly below fair value in the high teens, so I have no idea where the bottom here is going to be. GLA.

He never gives the impression of being overstretched to my mind! I would be interested to know what kind of hours he has put into the job these past few years. I have a fair idea of what the average is at that level, especially when a company is either in recovery or facing headwinds.

Thanks wyndrum. I am still trying to learn about charts to add to my traditional research and dd. IMO charts do often seem to be a useful additional tool in the box. Maybe because of the increasing number of algo trades, I do not know. Anyway, I think most of us would be happy with a close above 16.6p today, but if it does not, I will not be remotely concerned. The CEO is doing everything that I want to see in a leader to date. If only more of my AIM stocks could offer the same comfort of leadership!

I would be more than happy to see this go vertical, but first, perhaps more realistically, let's see a test of the 50 DMA. GLA.
