I have made another small purchase too. Was going to wait until the 16p region, but I have no feel for the movement of this stock whatsoever, so decided just to go for it. GLA.

A bit 'meh' IMO. Agree with you that they really should be getting costs down and also underwhelmed with the buy back initiative as well. TT is panning out how some of us feared it would (namely a poor acquisition for the cost of it). The analyst presentation will be interesting. Not sure to be honest. Not a disaster by any means, but this has always been a terrific cash machine and IMO June has not taken the business forward since taking over the reigns of the founder. Need to reflect a bit more. GLA.

Agreed. This is far from the worst company when it comes to self-serving actions, so not in itself a red line for me. A 25p special and keep the remaining cash on the balance sheet for any emergencies or acquisitions would be ideal IMO, but as you say, not on the cards. See you all tomorrow after the RNS!

I would rather they kept the extra cash in reserve (dividend as it stands is already sufficient IMO), rather than announce further buy backs. If the numbers are at the top end, or ahead of expectations, with forward guidance equally positive, then a special dividend would be sensible as an alternative. I am not against buy backs as a rule, but look at the weak SP performance during the recent buy back period - better value for shareholders can be found without them IMO. But they are often a tool used for (artificially?) boosting EPS....which almost always translates into big remuneration uplifts for the BOD. Which a cynic might suggest is the sole reason buy backs are launched. Anyway, looking forward to the update tomorrow as well. Ready to buy back in, if the news is satisfactory. FWIW, I think Tourist has probably got a good feel for things here, but let's see. Especially of interest to me is the TT update and forward guidance. GLA.

I am inclined to agree with the bulls here. The selling down of a large holder or two does not always equate to them knowing something that the general public does not. It does not always signify a discounted placing is in the pipeline. As someone else said the other day, it is a bit like a penalty being awarded. Once the contract is signed and the specifics are in the public domain, then unless it is a shocker (which we have no reason at this stage to think it will be), then that would be the converted penalty and likely a re-rate taking place then. Still just a (very small) holder, rather than a buyer, but fairly relaxed too. No guarantees of course, so just do not go in deeper than you feel comfortable with. Like every other stock really. In fairness, that is two Directors now....although still a few hundred thousand shares short of a purchase size that would encourage me to buy more personally. I agree with theoldmansdoneit's sentiment on this. Better than no purchases though, which makes them more worthy of respect than 90% of AIM BODs for this alone, IMO. I really hope they get a big return on it. Which would also result in me perhaps getting my own small stake back. Who knows? One deal and we might even make a small profit here, although given the cash runway, this is the spin of a roulette wheel now. Again IMO. GLA.

The Corporation looks interesting - I will put it on the 'to read' list, thanks. Currently working through The Sovereign Individual. I appreciate my previous post perhaps came across as somewhat callous. On one level, I sympathise with current pensioners who feel they paid their dues. I know a fair few. IMO they were misled, because most of them have not paid in nearly enough, on average, to cover the various costs associated with their extensive retirements. The early retirement age, the final salary pensions, the free university education - or the ability to walk into a quality corporate job without the need for a degree in the first place. High interest rates were short-lived and properties were very cheap in comparison to now, based on earnings multiples. Don't forget the golden ticket of MIRAS either. The amount of people who could fund a respectable, fairly comfortable, life on a one income household versus those of later generations. I think this 'inter-generational theft' is the root cause of the apathy that is so common in the younger cohort. Subconsciously, they know they are stuck at the rump end of the ponzi scheme and their options to opt out are limited. Anyway, we certainly live in interesting times, as that Chinese proverb cautioned us about!

I still have faith that Iain will turn this ship around - if anyone can, he can, IMO...but it will take a much larger buy than that for me to add to my own position here. He bought bigger numbers of shares previously and at much higher prices, after all.

Political interference prevents capitalism from achieving a natural balance between production and consumption. Too much public sector and now private/individual debt means that we cannot continue (for much longer) to accommodate the percentage of unproductive people in the UK. IMO we have not really seen capitalism since the GFC anyway though, and I do not see that changing anytime soon. The solution to almost all problems is less government, not more government. Again, not holding my breath for that day, either :)

Hope you get the chance, mate. Sometimes an AIM stock turns out to be the real deal, or at least gives people who get in early the chance to earn multiples of their initial investment. Just do not go in too heavy or get carried away. Even with good research and dd, it can go badly wrong. Happened to me, more than once. Even on one stock where the BOD had invested significant amounts of their own money in share purchases. For now though, this one is very attractive IMO. Hopefully it does go on to be a great British success story. Then the talk of a SP in the pounds, rather than pence, would be fairly credible, IMO. Maybe taken out before then though. The job creation alone is wonderful news, especially in an economic climate such as this one. GLA.

althej: Please seek financial advice from an IFA or an accountant, rather than a chat board. Not that there are not some very knowledgeable people here. I jumped on board for a quick trade the other day from 18p to 22p. Then I bought a few back at 21p, as I felt it was worth keeping a little skin in the game here, with more potentially positive catalysts in the next few weeks. Only a tiny position, as I am wary of these markets. I hope you get your 10 bagger. I will be satisfied with less, if it comes to pass. GLA.

Forgot to add: I think the crypto fall out may well see off a number of newish 'investors/traders'. Among the younger demographic anyway. Not sure if a lot of that cohort will suddenly convert to (IMO) real equity assets, be they dividend blue chips or small caps. Maybe some of the large tech stocks I guess. Could be frying pan into the fire, if so!
I agree that last year was the start of a recession, to all intents and purposes. This year logically must be worse, given the impact those interest rate rises are going to start to show effect on, from SME's to large, debt-laden corporations. Of which there are many. Not to mention on many, many individuals. Not just those without long fixed mortgages. Stagflation is going to be hard to avoid IMO. But enough bearish rambling from me for one day. 30 at least, although I will do some light trades (or investments if it goes wrong!) prior to then. However, totally agree with the Peter Lynch sentiment of more money being lost waiting on the sidelines trying to time the market than lost staying invested. Up to a point anyway. After all, his career spanned a 40 year bull market. Which I think is not the cycle we are still in now. Hence my not keeping some here to ride the waves, which may or may not be a good call of course.
Vix is a long way from an exact science of course, but I would only start buying more heavily in various equities if we see a really high vix number. Have a look at the historic chart to see what it can do, when the fear is 'real'. Right now, it is barely a yawning cat. AIMO.

Thank you MrWolf. I was a bit lucky with the timing I guess, and while the trend can and will change sooner or later of course, for now my opinion of the trend is unchanged. IMO, if this is the start of the next leg down, rather than a more serious elevator moment (less likely at this point, I think) then a bear market rally will likely soon follow again...and then there will be more opportunities to buy lower and hopefully sell a bit higher.
Newdealz: IMO the vix is not nearly high enough to suggest we are anywhere near a bottom. We can avoid a recession if we keep altering the definition of what constitutes a recession. Sooner or later, earnings reports this year will give us less wiggle room to debate the matter. Maybe in either direction, who knows? I thought the wheels would have fallen off long before now, so I certainly don't :) GLA.

I would not touch Tesla with a barge-pole at the current price (to the poster who asked the other day) - but I could be wrong of course. US markets look ripe for the next leg down, IMO and as another poster said, we almost always follow their direction of travel. But the stock market operates in a parallel universe to the real world (otherwise it would already be much lower - again, IMO) so maybe this is a great buying opportunity? I am remaining on the sidelines for now though. GLA.

IMO that is a very positive update. Not saying this is a screaming buy, or anything like that, but I think this shows strong business leadership - and yes, also gives an idea of how the business was probably run prior to his joining. Not buying anymore, unless Iain does first, but not selling my small holding here either. I want to see how this plays out. GLA.

Sorry for wading into this chat board, but just wanted to ask Dallo his thoughts on the latest ENET update, as I remember he will not participate on that chat board anymore. Do you still have faith in that company? I am a small shareholder there, with not much skin in that game at all, but nevertheless would welcome his thoughts, if he is happy to share?
