I feel the commentator is running out of things to say about Lithium price.
I know him from Rock Stock Channel videos on ALL and lithium general.
Honestly I wouldn't like to be in his shoes, been questioned about prediction and forecasts, on a subject that is as easy to predict as winning the lottery.
Thing is Lithium adoptions in EV and storage is a relatively new thing, in the sense that it has only recently reached critical mass and indeed in some parts of the world like USA, is still in its infancy.
With so many dynamics and changes to the demand supply space, imo is almost impossible to predict accurately where lithium price will be in say....5 years time.
I imagine this is why projects like ALL Ewoyaa have such a low price per tone case scenarios in DFS.
Possibly the best approach to roughly predict Li price, at least for short/medium terms, in absence of representative past data records, is the technical analyses of the price itself.
Supply bottlenecking and high demand, had pushed prices to unsustainable levels for the good of Li adoption, but the recent retrace in price has been as severe as the rise.
In my personal opinion it has now found a solid price level from where it will form a tight range, due to been mostly represented by contracts and not spot price.
Thanks to China continuation of tax relief on E.V. and possibly underestimate demand from storage, are all supporting current price, hopefully more to come from USA and Europe...
The secret for Li market is to find the right price so that other battery technologies are left behind, and current price seems to make everybody happy....
Time will tell.
