Just to clarify that comment I was advising Mike to move on with his argument . Many shares on AIM have disgruntled long term holders who bang on about what should/shouldn’t have happened. I made a quick £400 here on Friday and £750 on CLNR ( now Deltic Energy) a few days before that. I haven’t got much money in play at the moment , but my strategy is to take a quick 5-10% here and there ( any more is luck) and cut losses quickly . Getting involved in the relative value of a company is a bit pointless on AIM . It shouldn’t be like that but it’s swamped with casino gamblers just looking for a quick buck . Join them in their game or invest more sensibly in other ways .

He’s doing fine . Still has a tendency to repeat himself though.....and no takers on the ransom so far ;)

I bought 2 million today in 3 trades ( about 0.245 average). Can’t resist this one !!

I read the RNS and anticipated the spike , made some money available but couldn’t get in at a price I felt comfortable with. If I had managed to buy 3 million and held I would be £1500 down this morning . Which is my point . The trading patterns on AIM aren’t based on anything other than a few fleecing the many . Look at the price now , which is lower than before the RNS .

Over 2 grand cheaper than if they had bought yesterday morning . If ever there was an example of how AIM works the last 36 hours are surely it ( although no doubt repeated elsewhere many times over in the same period) .
I guess we now have a new lot of holders spiked on yesterday’s predictable pump n dump. Nothing changes .

Best to buy low, sell when you’re up, then wait . Even then you risk losing your stake . Mercifully my fill and kill order for several million at 0.28 on the bell yesterday morning was declined . I might have been able to sell at a profit ( which would have been the only reason for doing it) ,but the MMs and several ‘ players’ have this one sewn up .
I’ll still be back in at 0.18 if it drops that low . Fairly good chance it will in 2/3 weeks.

I think its best to move on Mike. They DID make that raise and we are where we are. Regardless of whether it was the right thing to do ( I tend to agree it favoured institutional investors over the likes of us) it is done. The global repercussions of COVID are the main driving force behind the drop below cash value, as well as the rapidly developing change in energy consumption and technology which is in danger of making this sector obsolete. We still need gas, and security of supply, so CLNR is as well placed as any , but smart investment money is probably looking elsewhere at the moment.. I still think there is room to make money here from these levels, but I wouldn't like to say ho well rewarded those will be that are trapped in here at over last summers placing price.

Not so much of a mauling as if I had waited and sold at these levels! My average at that time was about 1.7 so it was a 2 or 3 grand down from memory. It would be nice to make that back but I'm under no illusion that it will be a quick return to value here. However in the long run this looks like a very attractive entry point, even if it drifts a bit further in the short term.

After a few months out here ( sold at a loss around 1.3p at the beginning of the year) , I’ve picked up a few @0.68p

I told him he should have bought back in at 0.13 with some of his profits and he could have easily doubled his money in the recent rise and made back his losses.Maybe he did, maybe he didn’t but he looks like he still has a passing interest . I turned my £388 into £695. I could have done better but sell orders kicked in before I noticed the steep bounce . I might try again at around 0.18/0.19

I would be careful RKB. It’s MMs and a few old hands ( day traders) exploiting the expectancy of the herd ( a smallish one in this case ) who have been fed the narrative for a long time that this will be many multiplies etc etc, and news was due . It was so obvious it was happening I remarked a couple of time’s . It happens all the time on AIM.
I agree it was a dumb RNS , although the reasons may yet become clear as to why they dampened expectations : which they didn’t have to as the price was just returning to bear NAV.

And so the cycle starts again ....
