Totally agree PW and hope I am wrong - it all seems like doom-mongering as they say they wont fully know about this new strain for weeks yet - but recently, the slightest sniff of covid news sends us downward.

Looks like it is all over the news this morning. Guess we can expect another hit. (But then, when did CINE ever do what was expected!!)

The trolls will be "strangely quiet" this morning I think. They usually are when anything positive happens. Slightest dip and they will all be out from under their bridges! That looks like a good RNS to me, let's see what the market thinks.

Was at Dune today - early showing at 12:50 - quite busy, on a par with the same time showing of Bond on the first weekend - quite surprised it was so busy. Only part of the book though - it does say at the start of the film "Dune Part 1". So dont expect any form of ending - it pretty much sets it up for the next film - think along the lines of the first LotR film.

Got my tastecard email from Cine last night and already signed up to it.

@mountainous - I've not tried 4DX as personally I don't fancy being thrown around a bit for the duration of the film so can;t comment on that but know that some folks love it and find it immersive. (Think it would be good for a while but dont fancy the whole film of it) When booking a film, I always book superscreen if it is available as I like that it is the biggest cinema with the biggest screen. Apparantly has better "Dolby Atmos" sound but don't know much about that and don't really notice much difference. Just like the larger screen. When I was younger and Cinemas only had a handful of screens at most, I used to go to the Odeon in the city centre of Glasgow. The "Odeon 1" was a huge cinema with a huge screen and I loved it. (Saw Jurassic Park, Ghostbusters, Braveheart there to name but a few). So I guess it is a bit nostalgic for me to go to the "Big screen" :-) (Quite happily go to one of the "cupboards" as we call them to see a less popular film though!

Saw it today super screen in Glasgow. Booked again for next Saturday. Great to see the cinema so busy and good queues at the concession counters.

Same happened in ours BlueBuxton - the BBFC screen said it was the extended edition but it was actually the theatrical edition they showed. (Was only 3 hours instead of 3Hrs40)

(Although that would be after he crashed the Aston Martin at high speed, into a volcano, then ate a lot of pies and cake during his recovery to compensate when the facial reconstruction went horribly wrong as it was performed by a blind and/or drunk surgeon)

FTSE 250 down over 2% and we ended up 1.5%. In recent months a 2% drop in the FTSE 250 would probably have saw us down around 10%!! I'll take it!

Bond booked for Saturday 2nd. (This Saturday I have a Lord of the Rings marathon at my local Cine. First one starts at 11:40am and last one finished around 11pm :-)

Just out from watching and thought it excellent. Best marvel movie for a while!

November still has The Eternals and Ghostbusters so providing there isn't now a domino effect, hopefully wont be too much of a reaction. That said, this is CINE so we could also be up or down 20%!!

Going to see Free Guy tomorrow with the missus. Like a good quality choc chip and hazelnut cookie. Not chocolate flavoured biscuit though - that's the devil's work!! (Can't beat a good old Kit Kat though - orange choc Kit Kat also acceptable!!)

Was looking at that also. Of 519 trades so far, 260 of them were for 10 shares or less. And only 39 of those were buys. I get annoyed when everyone blames everything on the MM's but that does seem a bit like someone/some algo trying to make people think there are loads of sells.
