Good luck HNS - I also bit the bullet and cashed out this morning. I was also holding on in the vain hope that something better might have been sorted out.

It will no doubt bounce up and down a bit but ultimately looks like we are getting nothing out of any restructuring deal

Saw this when I went to prebook Black Adam. What used to be the big superscreen in Silverburn is now IMAX laser (from 14th October)

Nice to see a bit of a boost in share price - obviously totally coincidental that the number of green boxes also rises - no doubt telling us how terrible everything is :-)

All I see is a load of green boxes - easy to ignore - not worth engaging with it.

In response to media speculation, Cineworld is today providing an update to its announcement on 17 August 2022 regarding an evaluation of strategic options to both obtain additional liquidity and potentially restructure its balance sheet through a comprehensive deleveraging transaction.



Cineworld and Regal theaters globally are open for business as usual and continue to welcome guests and members.



The strategic options through which Cineworld may achieve its restructuring objectives include a possible voluntary Chapter 11 filing in the United States and associated ancillary proceedings in other jurisdictions as part of an orderly implementation process. Cineworld is in discussions with many of its major stakeholders including its secured lenders and their legal and financial advisers.



Any such filing would be expected to allow the Group to access near-term liquidity and support the orderly implementation of a fully funded deleveraging transaction. Cineworld would expect to maintain its operations in the ordinary course until and following any filing and ultimately to continue its business over the longer term with no significant impact upon its employees. As previously announced, any deleveraging transaction would, however, result in very significant dilution of existing equity interests in Cineworld.



Cineworld's evaluation of these strategic options remains ongoing. A further announcement will be made if and when appropriate.

Will be interested to see come Mon/Tues to see if any TR-1's appear. See if any of the big holders have sold or even bought more. This could all just be minor players panic selling. There appears to be a lot of volume but at the current price, it sin't exactly massive amounts of money changing hands. Still bricking myself but holding and hoping!

Black Panther and Avatar are the major players toward the end of the year - can;t think of anything else of note.

Sold all my 50,000 shares yesterday at open at a horrible loss. Decided that the money I was left with wasn't life changing if I lost it as well. Used the money from the sale to buy 64,000 shares this morning. Still horribly down and potentially lost the lot, but got 14,000 free shares out of it. Possibly (probably?) madness - but let's see how it plays out. GLA

Didn't see anything brilliant - but no obvious negatives either. Debt reduced by around 20% and +ve FCF sounds OK (But still significant debt which will hopefully be reduced further by disposals cash when it arrives). Will see what the market thinks. Certainly nothing jumping out at me to make me want to sell any time soon.

That said - was an OK RNS. Nothing spectacular but., more importantly, nothing bad! Now to see how the market reacts. Was yesterday a bit of FOMO that is going to retrace due to nothing stellar being announced? Or was that just the beginning of a decent push higher as the RNS inspires a bit more confidence?

Is that what the sea of green is? I only have 2 users on my filter here. AM for his constant deramping and sharehead for constant ramping. I don;t need to hear the same thing over and over so just block both of them.

It is a company sharesave purchase and amounts to £150 - wouldn't get too excited about it :-)

Last time they did a "limited release" in cinemas it was only in a handful of independents I think - none of the big chains. The more they make huge budget films that lose them a fortune, the more it plays into cinema's hands and they might agree to the 45 day window with the big chains.

Probably some profit taking? Still happy with 14% - it's a start!
