So it looks like they are going to close out bets at the opening price once trading resumes on the NEX. If that never happens then we could be in limbo until the arbitration is finalised. I would probably say this is fair all round.
Thanks for your email. The stock is currently delisted on the AIM and is suspended on the NEX. At the moment nothing has been confirmed with how this will be treated by the exchange,so there is nothing we can physically do. We are looking into the possibilities of trading out of this stock when it starts trading on the NEX, but we are awaiting confirmation from our shares desk. Unfortunately we have no indication of when this will happen. If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us. I have spoken to them regarding hedging before and it's normally only very large bets they hedge against as 80% of spreadbetters lose anyway. I would be very surprised if they are even 50% hedged on this one. Hedging costs money and there's not much point when most people lose anyway.
Guys it is also worth noting that according to IG 100% of clients positions are long. Hence they have a lot of profit to make if it opens down on any exchange. This of course will have a big part in the decision!! Personally I think they should all do the same or I for one will not be paying the margin until I have gone through every legal avenue possible!!
I very much doubt that this will trade again. If there's a chance it will then it won't be until after the annulment case, that is if we win it. If it opened again it would be volatile and nasty and not an orderly market by any means. Saying you don't care about leveraged investors says a lot about you GP. Some folk may have just been trying to make a break in life for the better of themselves and their families. I really pity people like you.
Have had a brief look through and many of the points Maestro et al have bought up seem to be relevant. Much more confident having read that, that we could still go on to win this. It is of course 1 sided but there is definitely hope, fingers crossed.
