The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
The real reason this share gets no traction is there are how many bilions of shares on issue ? how sub ( sub ) 1p the share price is ? Most potential investors are thinking "What the ..."
The next piece of the corporate puzzle should be a SHARE CONSOLIDATION of at LEAST 100:1 to get it in the 1p range. My little hand held calculator barely has enough decimal points to deal with this when considering orders...
( The general tone of this board these days is nothing short of a bunch of illiterate school children fighting it out in the yard ) How about some constructive technical points ??? How many of you did spelling at school ?
WHAT is there not to like...
Again.... they're not looking for the stuff, it's all about engineering solutions.
I am quite happy with the way they are getting on with it. Could have done with this management team 10 years ago.
( Joe is still on my Xmas card list... )
Totally agree. Long term issues have been engineering solutions, not actually finding the stuff. Compliments to Jo for keeping the ship afloat for all these years under incredibly difficult circumstances, but the additional new directors make up a highly competent technical team.
Further to Espen's article, have a look at the following...the Russian/Iran gas cartel is looking to be the next OPEC. That won't change anytime in the next few years as they turn the screws on the West. ( have been a shareholder for many years, still reiterating a STRONG HOLD )

may actually vote at the up and coming meeting to vote against the name change...to boring for words
...at least with good old Oilex, you knew which puddle of mud you were in
for a bit of light relief, typed "Synergia Energy Ltd" into a general internet search....
hardly an original name... hope we don't get trampled in the rush of all those other Synergia companies....2/10 marks for outstanding originality
some don't need it...
Worth a quick look for those a bit unsure about Carbon Capture... ( voodoo you say ? )

Anyway here the UK we are BLESSED with an abundance of "depleted" oil & gas fields ( as evidenced by your next gas bill )
It may be a tough nut to crack for the early movers in the business, but we can look forward to legislation likely to drive subsidies, grants, tax breaks etc. Besides, there certainly won't be a shortage of Carbon Dioxide raw material in the next 30 - 50 years.
Oilex could well reinvent itself with Roland and Jo at the wheel. ( May not be as sexy as a new Tesla in the driveway, but the old adage...where there's muck there's money )
Struth....WHAT is happening to the share price. It's actually moving !!
More exciting than watching paint dry on my wall.
( Apologises to Banjo Patterson... " The Man from Snowy River " )
Sider, you may be partly correct. Don't know the size Gasher's holding and whether his are ASX. His description of the letter he received sounded a bit suspect. If it was about Unmarketable Parcel Size, one would imagine that would have been evident in his letter.
From his brief description, I have had a couple of these "offers" to buy other shares in the past. They use deceptively close sounding names...
Been here since 2008. There have been some monumentally dull years.
Never thought we could get GSPC out of the door, but miracles do happen.
Funnily enough, with the real advances and cheaper costs in lateral drilling only coming in the last few years, I am happy to keep waiving the Oilex flag !! Have a lot of confidence in Joe and think the new Board additions can take the company into some new andvery interesting areas.
I dream about being connected to that High Pressure pipeline...
Got to be tough to make money, hang in there !!
Hi Gasher, if you go to Oilex website...go to Investor Information > Shareholder Warning and > Corporate Directory.
Over many years I have similar unsolicited "offers" i.e. pennies in the pound, so to speak. Oilex does use Link MARKET Services in Perth and lists correct address details. I have had correspondence with them over the years re- other Australian stocks and all is legit with THEM.
There are a number of shady characters operating out of Sydney mail boxes, typically the main mail exchange near Central Railway and in South Sydney. Have had similar "letters" in the past...be wary.
You could always contact Oilex or Link in Perth direct if you think someone is trying one on... regards.
Guaranteed, someone will always take your money if you let them !
Have I heard this before...? ( on Reuters )
Oct 5 (Reuters) - India, the world's largest LNG importer,
remains committed to moving towards a gas-based economy by
promoting a free gas market, the energy minister said on
Tuesday.
The minister made the comments in a speech he delivered to a
virtual LNG energy conference in Japan.
He said an estimated $100 billion of investment in the gas
sector was planned in the coming years to develop a sustainable
and efficient sector.

would appear to be functioning, showing current news. Last buy 5/8 ? very quiet...need someone to buy and sell some shares for this to come out of the closet...does any major chatroom pickup on this share ? too many questions and no answers
