RE: PCR HOME TESTING TWICE A WEEK10 Apr 2021 20:44
I see a lot of people thought we would get no extension and it was priced in, others thought we would get the extension and off we go! I fall in to the category of, I thought we would get a renegotiated deal from DHSC. A contract that could be extended or reduced as and when (given some agreed notice as we know the goalposts change with Covid), or less tests/equipment or more if needed. A contract that would allow for changes in circumstances. I thought we would get something.
Yesterdays fall was a big shock in the circumstances that many though no extension was priced in already. I dare say that many may buy back in when the dust settles. A situation update RNS could see them paying a bit more, hopefully!!
NCYT and DHSC may sort out their dispute and get something done pretty sharpish.
If NCYT feel that we can do perfectly well without DHSC, then DHSC may well regret trying to hardball NCYT (the relationship has been good so far). I know someone said it would be playground stuff to not do business with DHSC going forward after this 'dispute' should the chance come along - I think we can all agree that is not the way to go. But if NCYT go off and sell elsewhere and enjoy success, then DHSC could find themselves at the back of the queue in the very near future.
I still feel sense will prevail, just my opinion.
Like someone else said, if you have a great product, don't sell yourself short.
Good luck to all, whatever your decision!
