Nice to see the size of the daily buy-backs finally increasing.

So now there really able to take advantage of the opportunity the "shorts" are giving them, by buying in large numbers of shares at a very cheap price.

Each daily purchase at these levels slowly but surely increases the true NAV of all the remaining shares. At the same time it reduces the quarterly cost of the dividend.

Well there was 40M shares dumped earlier today, so if the Doc want's to increase his stake to 400M the shares are easily there to be acquired from the market makers.

Watching with interest to see what happens.

I think the number has increase by around 20 so far today 19,929 currently, its a pity the number increases on previous posts rather than stating the actual number at the time of the post.

It would be much easier to see increases over time that way etc

There was quite an increase last week too, the more the name gets out there the better. Just need the end to end Programmatic announcement to come out.

Hi 2phevs, that post is really just a slight tweak to the one they put out on Thursday.

What I have noticed in the last few days is the increase in people following Mirriad via Linkedin.

Going to be an interesting week I think.

If Dr Cooley isn't buying any more at this level then's he's decided that's it as far ownership percentage of the company goes.

Personally I thought he was targeting 400M shares rather than 355M, but looks like I was wrong.

Yes looks like a lot of things are about to change :) hopefully all connected to full end to end Programmatic.

I don't normally post about LGEN.

However it looks like a couple of things need cleared up.

The dividend will rise by 5% this year then by 2% for the following 3 years ( not by 7% [5%+2%] as some are suggesting).

Personally I would have preferred LGEN had come out & said they will assign £1.2B to the dividend over each of the years 2025 - 2027 & the increase per share payable will depend on the number of shares bought back during the year.

2nd I would have preferred them to move to quarterly payments as that will affect the share price a lot less than it does now.

People don't seem to like buy-backs well in LGEN's case it is the dearest form of debt they have, far more costly than the £4 Billion they currently borrow. So its in the best interests of long term shareholders for them to reduce the number of shares in issue & therefore the company's cost of capital.

£200M is a drop in the ocean, they need to be increasing this amount as quickly as they can & they want to be buying in as many shares with the current £200M before the interim ex-dividend date as that will save the company a few million.

If you go to Mirriad Insights on the blog page again & click on the advertisers tab or content owners tab, they have changed those video's over, re-designed them specifically for each group with the text rather than a general one.

I guess trying to get things in place ahead of next week & full Programmatic.

Yes SmartInvestor are the worst at paying dividends, in this case mainly because they are hopeless at doing corporate actions, that is the root of there problems.

They are good for trading shares though, so its kind of swings & roundabouts :( I wish they were good all round
