Minister for Energy, Omar Ayub Khan has reportedly resigned as Chairman Board of PPIB (Private Power & Infrastructure Board) due to which approvals of private sector power projects have stalled.
Can't help thinking any change is good news after the ridiculous delays, sounds like they want someone who can get the job done.

Minister Asad Umar has specifically talked about meetings to clear up obstacles on CPEC projects in the next two weeks and had a meeting last week with coal to gas and liquids companies. Our project is supported by CPEC for both power generation and gasification - the only one I believe. Using Thar coal has become a key priority for energy security. I believe we are now a top priority finally

I know he's not everyone's cup of tea but David Lenigas is becoming a vocal supporter of the company and he knows his stuff especially with the gold plays - some nice positive tweets flying round ATM

Totally agree lack of communication is shocking - my personal opinion is the Thar project will suddenly happen when we least expect it. That they have a nice shiny new gold project to shout about and they were keen to stress 'immediate drilling' and have gone radio silent is not acceptable. Naheed is speaking on Monday I think at an investor show so hopefully she has something new to say

I think he might know a good opportunity when he sees one and want to make some money like everyone else though. And he usually does make money trust is irrelevant... Anyway if you trust anyone in this game you're a mug, but that's no reason to pass up an opportunity

We now have an immediate drilling programme and a very short term value generating project in Aussie gold while we wait for the Thar LOI, which is now bigger and of greater national strategic importance. Not much not to like apart from the market response which will catch up when news starts flowing

We should be hearing about the drilling contract sooner rather than later both projects drill ready and ready to go immediately, proving those grades will be company making in itself - progress on MOU in Guinea possible before Christmas - she also said Thar is making progress although who knows what the muppets at PPIB are actually doing. I'm happy it's no longer the only project to wait for

What I particularly like from the interviews is the emphasis on immediate drilling start and delivering very short term value. And she says this is their first choice but first of many deals to come. And Thar will happen when it happens and none of it at all priced in. It's criminally undervalued

Well yes but you could say that about any project acquisition! Probably needed the cash to develop other projects and we were there right place right time, lots of distressed sellers right now. And they have taken shares and warrants so will benefit from any success. I like the fact it is drill ready and they are planning immediate drilling to prove it up further.

The company has been quite clear in its intention to diversify and become a multi asset multi revenue stream natural resources developer. Quite odd to complain when they put this strategy into action. And this looks like a great deal look at the grades! Very happy with the transaction and as she said in an interview, first of many. Guinea iron ore next hopefully which could be massive. This company is a different beast now if you don't like it probably should look elsewhere

You'd think the £15 million or so compensation they're about to get would cover getting the field up and running - any other raise is going to be for project development if no discount then onwards and upwards it's materially undervalued now
