"Planning Minister Asad Umar had called a single-point agenda meeting of the CCoE and invited provincial energy ministers to finalise a draft plan before formally seeking its approval from the CCI within two weeks.
The stakeholders were informed that the CCI also has to clear the matter by first week of September given the urgency relating to $800 million loan programmes (including one for energy sector) which was coming up for approval by the Board of Directors of the World Bank.

Sindh Energy Minister Imtiaz Shaikh complained about lack of engagement with the province and is lobbying for Oracle Power to be specifically included. Hopefully we get some movement here very soon!

Everything coming together for this company over the next month or so with assay results at Jundee East, Northern Zone drilling and Thar project progress hopefully leading to LOI - if it's all good news where do we see the SP going? Surely 2p is the very minimum. Very exciting time ahead

Honestly it's just power broking, the Chinese are committed to CPEC and will not let it fail, just applying pressure on ****stan as usual - sounds like China wants the plan implemented and ****stan were ready to agree we are mentioned as proceeding in the next phase in that article albeit incorrectly as SEC mine mouth project (Shanghai Electric Company as was). No need to panic!

As she said in the update, it's about careful diplomacy as there are many players involved from opposing parties and she has to navigate all the complexities and get them to make agreements - not easy. So now we have someone from an opposition party saying the Government are 'blocking' the project. We know it's waiting on a new Power Plan which should be resubmitted next week and the regions all want their own projects to be priority. Let's wait and see how the Government responds, and hopefully we see some progress soon.

Maybe because of discontent about provinces not having their projects included like Sindh Minister this morning? Hope they will now include Thar Block VI on the agenda - from a quick search I think Eid ends on the 21st? Whatever it just screams incompetence to postpone the day before not that I expect much from this Government

$ORCP are delighted to hear that the onsite crew at the Jundee East Gold Project site have now completed the full geochemical survey. Samples are expected to be in the labs this week. We look forward to receiving some great results as we move towards drilling.
