A bit weird in that only one decent sized trade (at just above the bid price) ticks it up. I'll take it though........

Any thoughts as to why this has drifted down over the last few weeks? Not sure what I'm missing (except a few quid, of course)

....on what the problem is here?

By all accounts, a solid little company which is doing the business. I'm trying to think what the reasons might be for the sluggish sp when the fundamentals look so strong. I'm totally speculating here but all I can think of might be;

1. A big seller (as suggested by myluvva, below) holing back the price?
2. Is it a business which is not distinctive enough i.e. easy to replicate?
3. The prospect of a Corbyn govt (nationalisation threat meaning reduced possibility for INSE to deliver savings to its clients)?
4. Someone being in the know of some bad news which hasn't come out yet (see the 'big seller' point above).

All of the above seem a bit far-fetched which is why I'm still here and have doubled my holding over the last few weeks. This is now one of my biggest holdings so, for me, I've a lot at stake here, but I'm still confident in the company (despite my musings above).

Anyhow, any thoughts as to what might be holding the sp back or any other concerns which you might be aware of...........

Whilst I sold a few at just over 2p I'm not unhappy as I've made a few quid and I've still got some skin in the game. If the price drops I'll buy them back, if it doesn't, I'll still make a few (more) quid. Like you, though, I have modest tastes and will happily sail into the harbour at St Tropez in a dinghy having left the yacht behind in the showroom.........

Well, if it's any consolation, wiltshireman, I sold over a third of my holding on 17th May (at just over 2p) expecting the usual drift back and then buying back when it would definitely, inevitably, completely guaranteed, hit 1.8p. Of course, it never did.......

Still, I banked a decent profit - will pay for my next few trips to Turf Moor - so I can't really complain....although will teach me not to try trading (I'm much too much of a novice and this episode, clearly, proves that)

PS condolences to C&B. Hope those affected are doing OK and can look back with much fondness/love on whoever they're missing.

As you say, hopefully that's a very big seller out of the way and we can move forward now.......? Does seem to be edging back up. If I can release a few funds I'll be back in for more at these levels.

I always thought in times of uncertainty gold was a (relatively) safe haven, dj, in which case the price here should be ticking up given the news. Add to that the potential (bs or not) rise in gold price and the geographical potential of where we're operating (esp with the history of Mariana to support the story) and you'd think it would be the perfect storm for a company like AAU.

If I was cynical, I'd think there was something more sinister going on e.g. a big seller who's closer to the action and 'in the know' more than us small-fry investors.

Anyhow, I choose to be an optimistic holder....

...what will it take to get this sp moving forward (or at least consistently above 2p, for now)? I am actually asking a serious question, albeit with me being slightly frustrated at the performance of the sp, as the company appear to be producing (quite literally) so not sure what's holding this back.

Sorry for the recent radio silence....been away (work and hols) so just catching up on stuff.

C&B - great shout about Bowland Brewery and Clittheroe. Whenever we go back up to watch the Clarets (a couple of times a season) me and Mrs Lord stay in and around Clitheroe (normally in Waddington either at the Waddington Arms or the Higher Buck).

Sadly not around on 30th April any more, but will be very interested to hear any feedback from those that might attend. I'll be having a virtual celebratory pint with you, though, if we get to (and hold) above 2p between now and then and maybe go crazy and have a second beer if the Clarets have managed to confirm Premier League status by then, too.

I have to say going for a beer with you lot (DJ, John, C&B) would be an experience!!! Next time I'm in Nevada/West Mids/Burnley I'll see about a pint of Bud (if I have to)/Holdens (my fave brewery from round that Wolves area)/Moorhouses.

Still extremely relieved about the footie after this weekend's results. Odds to stay up now in the Clarets favour (although that doesn't mean I'm confident yet, by any means).

As for AAU, bought a few more on the slight dip last week at 1.74p. I don't see any justification for the drift in price other than not enough absolutely stonkingly outstanding news (although I thought the last RNS was positive enough, for me just now)

Anyhow, probably time for a top up, quite frankly. I can't see how the results haven't led to a bit more interest and buying pressure. Whatever, I'll be patient, as instructed....I'm not going anywhere with this for quite a while as I think there's a great long-term story unfolding here.

Not been around for a bit so just catching up on all the recent (excellent) debate.

Given all the (apparently) positive news which has been coming and is due, I'll be looking to top up again if this drifts any lower.

As for the weekend's sporting action - I can't believe how so-called elite sportsmen struggle to do thier job. Whether it's Burnley (although maybe more Sunday pub team than 'elite' right now) or England rugby team....not being able to not lose (in Burnley's case) and win (in England's case), bemuses me. Ah well, there's still hope for the Clarets at least, even if my general optimism is dwindling. Rant over for now - although you'll know who I am at the AGM...I'll be the one carrying on at the back of the room bemoaning having to go to Luton instead of Liverpool to watch the Clarets.......

Interesting if not all transactions are showing. OK, my rather modest buy is hardly going to make any material difference but if there's a number of (in this case) buys which are not being reported (correctly) I wonder if this could affect the sp? I'm probably just completely overreacting here, so do ignore my inane ramblings, if you so wish.......

Slightly o/t.....Interesting that my buy isn't showing yet - bought at 12.30. Occasionally my trades don't show which, I suspect must be down to something to do with the platform my broker (The Share Centre) uses? Anyone else use The Share Centre or have come across their trades not showing?

Well, C&B, I've just bought another 50k at 1.88p having just gone round trying to gather as much spare cash from under the car seat, down the back of the sofa and anywhere else I could find some loose change.
