Trek: if - as you suggest -people sold yesterday, surely that was because they fear the update might not be positive.

LSBM - anybody's guess. I never pay any attention to analyst forecasts. They're usually hopelessly wrong.

SMT has had a decent run since its latest 7 April trough of around 815p. My sense is that it will continue to trade somewhere between the £10 & £11 mark for the rest of this year.

But (and it's a big but - as someone once said of Kim Kardashian), as much as anything, SMT's SP will likely be influenced by the latest idea Trump wakes up with.

And if anyone thinks they can second-guess that, good luck is all I can say.

It would be quite funny though if Tim finally pulled something out of the bag in the second half of the year.

Can't say I'm expecting it though. What WILL be entertaining (assuming no progress by December) is how Tim will try to talk his way out of it.

Doubt many investors would cut him any further slack. He'd then need to be ousted, for sure.

Tom78 - and that’s when the heftiest round of buybacks occurred. When the SP was low & Elliott muscled in.

I doubt we’ll see the same level of buybacks in the near future, but could be wrong.

Compare SMT’s SP when the latest round of buybacks kicked in big time with today’s price.

We’d already signed up to their newsletter, so received it too & have now ordered 3 months of Cholbiome BP for a family member.

Anyone know whether GPs will generally give someone with high cholesterol a follow up test after 3 months? Otherwise, short of paying privately for a test (which could well cost more than the Cholbiome itself), there’d be no way of knowing if it had helped.

Also, have others on here paused Cholbiome after the recommended 12 weeks? And if so, do you know if your cholesterol stayed lower or did it creep back up over time?

I contacted Chris Gillespie today, asking if he could provide any clarification on the likely bid timetable.

Below is his prompt response, which he kindly authorised me to post here:

"The timetable is dependent upon the remaining bid condition - FCA approval - being received and we are in their hands on this matter. The applications were submitted to the FCA shortly after the announcement of the potential transaction in May. As there is no firm timetable for the FCA response, we are unable at this stage to publish a transaction timetable. We will continue to update shareholders at each stage of the process. The intention is to move to the court approval stage, and completion, as soon as practicable once FCA approval is received."
