If Lloyds committed a further £1 Billion to the current buyback for cancellation programme with half year results. At the current rate of purchases, up to a further £1 Billion could be accommodated to fit in with the programme end of year termination date.

Lloyds though have thus so far only committed to buyback programmes with the yearly results.

Looks like Falk has upped his potential purchase price level - maybe to take account of the share buyback.

He has been waiting many months - any hope that the long wait is coming to an end may be a forlorn hope.

we have allowed in Hong Kong people who had British National (Overseas) status on a 5 year visa after which they can make an application to stay.

we have allowed in people from Ukraine in whilst the war continues.

People coming to the UK to study are included in the figures.

There should not be an issue allowing in needed people to work here on a visa until such time that they are no longer needed. The problem in the past was hundreds of millions of people having the right to come here, needed or not, and at the same time undercutting on salaries to the determent to the UK citizens..

That takes into account inflation - 3.5 times increase in real terms.

Just goes to show what effect various schemes have had in addition to very cheap money for a prolonged period. It is shown in the price increases subsequent price/income ratios.

Something had to give eventually - taking into account inflation we have recently seen a double digit fall in property prices in real terms.

I shall say again - you had always said that 5% is the maximum that Lloyds needs to pay in dividend - by that reckoning there would be no increase in 2023. Soon find out next month.
