Really? I would have thought that UBS would prefer to purchase at a much lower price - them buying at 20p would have been preferable.

It is not an aim stock - having cash on deposit is boring - Many people would prefer the double digit returns that Lloyds are able to make to shareholders at the current price

I would say that investors have had plenty of time to purchase with double digit returns on offer and of course the longer the current price level lasts (or lower) the better it is for the increase in percentage ownership that the buyback for cancellation offers

All of mine were - for some reason I still have a handful of HSBC shares on paper certificates - haven't been bothered to transfer - the dividends from them get sent straight to my bank account. It used to be expensive commission wise to purchase shares - now it is insignificant.

The first nominee I used was Charles Schwab , prior to the setting up of MLHSBC which soon became an HSBC only entity soon after (HSBC invest Direct)
