RE: HOW SHARE BUYBACKS SHOULD WORK22 Aug 2023 21:38

''It has declined - or do you value your shareholding in different way.
I was not aware that I had posted that there was not a decline in market cap, you will have to reference where i said that, if you can.
What I am aware of though is that I posted -
''I am not aware of a decline in the Lloyds banking group business''
How should share buybacks for cancellation work, if not the way that most understand - the removal of shares from the market?
''the buyback only adds value if the underlying share price rises''
Incorrect - the Lloyds buybacks have added getting on for 7p per share value . Without them based on the current market cap, the share price would be that much lower.
Are people ever going to understand.
