Not at all - no bravery required in making an investment with a near 11% dividend yield (tax free in an ISA).

HFEL have never cut the dividend and have in fact just recently increased it to 6.1p per quarter.

Increasing the exposure to China in the fund was obviously a little early with the use of hindsight but does not involve the property sector.

China still emerging from Covid period a little on the slow side.

I had a real terms cut in my HSBC pension of about 8% last time round and the next round will probably be another 5% real terms cut.

Getting inflation under control can result in some pain for some.

I mentioned a number of months ago that wages settlements were coming in too high and thus not helping with the speed of drops in inflation.

Need to see evidence soon of inflation being got under control, otherwise 6% would be coming this year.

Yes - hindsight investing/trading possibilities are always the best on paper.

My last purchase in June was at about 42p cum dividend, and I would take advantage of any further lower valuations that the market may place on Lloyds. There is no telling how long the low valuation of the business may last. In the meantime Lloyds are making double digit returns to shareholders

Currently on course to reach 4.35 Billion + cancellations this year.

I had a very HOPEFUL 4 Billion target in mind at the start, so far more than had been realistically expected. That is what market jitters does - SVB , inflation control etc.
