Yes - the market can has decided that the value of Lloyds banking group currently is about £27.6 Billion, equating to about 43p per share.

Without the number of shares that have been bought and cancelled (currently about 11.8 BILLION ) based on the current market value view of Lloyds then the share price would have equated to getting on for 7p per share less than it is currently

An investor needs to decide on how low they think that the market can value Lloyds banking group at - currently at about £27.6 Billion, with underlying earnings of 7- £8 Billion (or more) a year

Hopefully the share count can get below 61 Billion next year and 58 Billion the year after.
