A new resolution will be put forward next year asking for permission to repurchase up to X amount of shares, where X represents 10% of shares in issue at a specific date.

Their policy so far has been to announced a buyback amount for a 12 month period on a single date.

A change to this did not occur at the half year stage.

you should be content with a further 10% + increase in dividend plus another buyback of shares for cancellation.

The current share price is very close to the price as at the end of the 2022 share repurchase programme.

In 2022 the shares were then marked down about 2.5p before a swift rebound.

I will be keeping a close eye on Tuesday. The psychological effect of the ending of the buyback, may result in a mark down in price. A low/near low last year occurred immediately following the ending of the buyback. The market though quickly revalued at a higher level.

Should be coming to an end shortly, if not already.

if you want a greater reserve maybe you should contact hfel and suggest that they cut distributions to shareholders in half and put the rest into the reserve for a number of years

what has a caparison got to do with it, in relation to HFEL having a good reserve to support continued dividend levels, and mentioned in response to -

that may require a long period in 2024 with a sub 50p share price, which I assume you would be happy with. Good to see an investor looking at the long term and in no hurry to get capital values up to a purchase price.

what isn't - the fact that Hfel has a good dividend reserve or the fact that when things settle down, a good increase in share price would be required to get back to the normal premium price ?
