No one was referencing a 17 year timeframe, only YOU.

You did this because you are resentful in seeing a swift share price increase to 100p that you have missed out on and therefore tried to put some sort of dampener on the big capital increases for investors retaining shares- that is very clear to understand.

Grow up and accept shareholder gains that you have not had

The share price has risen quickly to 100p from the low 50's level of a year ago

That was not the case when more recently with the share price stuck at about 40p for a long time. Instead of filling their boots, most posters moaned about the share price rather than take advantage of it, when there were obvious 15% total shareholder returns around the corner.

that could be achieved overnight.

As I have already said, to get back to some historical levels (pre LBG) of shares in issue a 1 for 10 consolidation would be needed and thus achieving about £10 per share - it would only be cosmetic of course- much rather see reductions continue from the current under 59 Billion shares by way of continued buyback programmes for cancellation.

Basically pointless referencing pre LBG share prices as they have zero relationship to the current share price

why are you asking an irrelevant questions, which have no relationship to any poster saying that 100p has been reached quickly. When are you going to understand that your response was irrelevant, When are you going to understand that shareholders purchases over recent years would mean that 100p has been reached quickly. I am afraid you simply wanted to divert from the obvious message at the speed to 100p for investors to one suggesting that investors have been waiting 17 years since their purchases, It will not wash with me. I suggest you do not attempt to go in circles once again as you have done in the past.

when are you going to understand that a 17 year starting point is totally irrelevant as a response to shareholders that have stated it has reached 100p quickly. For example I purchased loads of shares at sub 24p in 2020 and I consider the rise to 100p to have been quick. I also bought loads of shares near 40p in 2023, and once again consider the rise to 100p to have been quick. I am not aware of a poster making a post saying that they made their purchase 17 years ago and consider reaching 100p to have been quick. Anyone buying in 2025 would consider the rise to 100p to have been quick Easy enough to understand.

my point was quite clear - it took a day to reach 100p from the 5th December. A 17 year period is of no relevance - no different from any other starting point for an investor purchasing shares.

All time high I believe was a little under £63 Billion with it currently being at a little under £59 Billion, so currently my next selling level will be at about 110p (a record high market cap)

For anyone purchasing in the the last 12 months, it would have been very quick to have reached 100p. All investors didn't buy 17 years ago only, so a 17 year date range is totally irrelevant to, I imagine at least 99% of individual shareholders.

LBG was formed in 2009 - we have recently hit an all time high share price.

If you want to compare to a pre LBG Lloyds prices then a 1 for 10 share consolidation would get the number of shares back to nearer historical pre LBG numbers - that means an equivalent current share price of £10
