Yes of course, as I have always said, on maintained profitability, the lower the share price the better for buybacks. I said the same when at about 40p less than a year ago, but the 2024 programme ended up having to pay an average 54.25p.

I don't think anyone mentioned going bust. 10p per share with the same profits would be tremendous wouldn't it. A dividend yield of over 30% and £2 Billion to remove 20 Billion shares.I would soon own the whole of Lloyds at that rate..

Not starting on that all over again - you will get the same response as everyone else. Over 99% of shareholder votes wanted share buybacks .Learn to respect a vote.
