The sustainability of the dividend is dependent upon the income that HFEL generate. HFEL also has a dividend reserve. Increases in what investors are prepared to pay for shares in the underling businesses for each x of income has no direct link to the level of distributions.

As I have said before and I shall say again - you are totally clueless.

You have on a number of occasions connected NAV with the ability for HFEL to maintain a dividend level.

The NAV has nothing to do with the income that HFEL generates. The dividend payment now is greater than when the share price was over 300p, and is just as sustainable. as then. Get it out of your head once and for all.

I cannot see why the rest of the family would want to take it private - they would need to raise a fortune to do so. Any kind of takeover would require a price to be paid, a lot closer to NAV.

Strange the a new buyback announced on the 29th April has yet to commence - coincidence or in 'discussions' ?
