Another stupid statement - every buy is a sell and vice versa - I have said it before, a trade has to be tagged with a 'buy' 'sell' or 'unknown' - a bit meaningless when it comes to indicating the level of support or not.

stupid statement - you or anyone else cannot 'expect' anything price wise on any given day - it is a stock market

The point of the cash warrants that could be exercised at 2p was to raise money for MET1 (to keep the salaries going). Money would need to continue to be raised in this round or subsequent rounds, so whatever happens to the share price there will be further dilutions in the future.

Trading volumes today are most likely those selling out their newly acquired 2p shares and those seeing the light an exiting, making a dramatic price alteration, being bought by the hopeful.

It wasn't long ago that one or two were questioning why the largest shareholder (over15%) was selling out at 30p - it was obvious why- they made a killing out of fools.

that has not been my experience and is the reason why it is said that stocks are the better protection against inflation over the longer term, far outweighing cash, which of course only gives interest on deposited money. I prefer dividend returns over cash interest, with fluctuating asset values only giving opportunities, whether that is up or down.

My friends are still holding. First took in by a sponsored advert and now, at the moment too stubborn to sell at a loss . Luckily they can afford to lose all of the tens of thousands they have ploughed in. Just hope they do not compound the situation by averaging down.

it would be very naive of gamblers to think that January's money raising with the resultant vast increases in shares in issue will be the end of it . Much more money would be asked for in the future to keep the tiny 'workforce's' bandwagon rolling along. and for as long as they can. The current warrant holders have until September to convert them into shares, so quite a while to go yet.

No - buyback programmes purchase shares in the market just like any other purchase of shares, with a purchase transaction made at not a higher price than a previous market purchase price. The sole purpose of buybacks is to reduce share capital. The market would value HSBC on a daily basis, which is reflected in the price of each share at any given time.
