Easyjet are obviously not too worried about the SP and investors do not concern them until easyjet need more finance/fundraising.

Its just business.

notionally would that not increase the SP a fair bit or is that unrealistic?

Ezy at %.90 then ryanair said prices soft so EZY dropped massively.

Now EZY has done the OPPOSITE of Ryanair in profits performance. Can the market get back to £5.90 asap?

Ryanair is over 6times the capital value of Easyjet but for the same period Easyjet returned a profit that is 75% of the Ryanair profit. That is stellar performance and earnings per share HUGE compared to Ryanair.

Can anyone say why Easyjet is not hugely outperforming the market?

EZY goes to more mainstream airports and it seems passengers will pay more for that. I do!

EZY has it's own holiday section but Ryanair only has a link with a third party provider so I am guessing ryanair make a lot less on hotel bookings.

In essence Ryanair is a pile them high sell them cheap and when they cannot even get those cheap prices their whole strategy collapses. Easyjet is adding more value per seat plus now the BIG holiday bonus which has considerably more growth to come plus the more affluent grey hairs are travelling more outside peak months and that will help the low profit quarters.

So I remain invested with nearly 80K of shares, that is a big conviction!

Ryanair versus easyJet

According to Cirium schedules information data, Ryanair has 2,411 routes in June. Some 238 are domestic, mainly in Italy and Spain, but also in France, Greece, Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Sweden and the UK. The remaining 2,173 are international. In comparison, easyJet has 905 routes: 108 domestic (in the UK, France, Italy and Portugal) and 797 international.

Ryanair competes with easyJet on 173 airport pairs in June

Examining the pair’s schedules using Cirium reveals that they compete directly on 173 airport pairs this June. In other words, 7.2% of Ryanair’s routes face easyJet, about which it is probably not overly concerned given easyJet’s higher costs (albeit higher fares). Ryanair is more exposed to easyJet than to fellow ULCC Wizz Air (141 airport pairs). But the latter has risen from just 42 in June 2019, against 123 for easyJet. It probably will not be too long until Wizz Air is the larger competitor.

Ryanair and easyJet face each other on 19 domestic airport pairs. More than half of these (11) are in Italy, which has been a key focal point for Ryanair’s expansion since the pandemic hit. But they also compete directly in Portugal (two routes), France (two) and the UK (four). Ryanair is against easyJet on Belfast BFS-Edinburgh, Manchester and London STN, and Edinburgh-London STN.

I wonder if the EZY CEO on wednesday will comment on ryanair's statements and whether EZY are having the same experiences.

The market has already priced in the results so those who do not know this will be disappointed.

With a move to more holidays being taken offseason that should help ease losses in Q1 and Q2 with hopefully an increase in EZY Holidays during this period the losses could be substantially cut.

I am not selling because I do research much easier on a single share. Nearly 80k actual shares!

Every pundit currently gives a long list of reasons why easyJet is undervalued.

I thinkte CEO has timed his departure for when there has been excellent results and a much better divy. He will be leaving on a high!

I look forward to that and may then cash in.

I am mostly passive because I realised that my efforts were continually beaten by trackers.

I often bought a share/IT but after far too short a period I sold only to find that soon after (months) the investment started to rise. My patience was poor and my decisions likewise.

I have the urge to sell out of Easyjet but.........

Will easyjet be able to fill all the seats on newer aircraft WITHOUT having to drop prices? FULL Smaller aircraft surely better for less popular routes than UNFULL larger plane!

Just compared easyjey SP to ryanair over 3 and 6 months they are near perfectly in step, so much for all the conspiracy theorists!
