Interesting that flight only customers increased with jet2 whereas EZY is the opposite.

I think I will be dumping 100% after the divy, £400k not working. I dream of being in IAG which would by now be showing a £280K increase over my easyjet holding.

I may then sit in cash and see if the big drop globally actually comes, any sign and I will drip feed back into a passive eg VWRL/VHYL.

In the last year IAG has gone up 60% and EASY has gone down 10% that is a 70% differential. EASY finances are sound yet it drops, i cannot explain except that it is SIMPLY not big enough to be a big portion of any investment portfolio.

Low cost seems to mean LOW INVESTMENT POTENTIAL.

RYanair are considerably much much larger and so the recent strikes in france whilst they will have cost ryanair probably as much maybe more than easyjet, as a percentage of overall expenditure the losses will be a much lower PERCENTAGE drop in total profits.

Easyjet having trading updates which may or may not include Easter add to the SP variances.

How does the % change in revenue and profits per share compare. Maybe IAG just better, same with ryanair.

Yes I noticed that. It seems waiting for the divy is not a positive if you are intending to sell. I remember thinking M&S was a bet for recovery and now it is x3.5 what it was 5 years ago. Different industry/Different problems.

What do these figures mean?

Looking at forecasts of EASY jet of income before tax with a 8% increase this september (was 39% to sept24 ) but ryanair showing forecast of 35% to may 26 (was -16% for May25 compared to may24) for income before tax.

How is this happening what are the big differences between the 2 airlines.

Is a company run for the benefit of shareholders? Easyjet seems oblivious to shareholder returns, maybe this is why companies do not list in lse as shareholders in uk are pessimistic about companies giving them good returns.

Who has the companies best interests at heart? I have twice the share holding of Jarvis and do not have his £m? salary.

Yet posters here wonder why Directors are not bothered by the share price being so low. It looks to me as if Jarvis buys about 30-40 shares a month. Hardly a sign of great confidence!

Whilst I do not wish to visit usa now because of USA actions it seems also that Americans may not want to travel abroad because of the current dislike of USA around the world.

This will mean airlines have a poor time on the Atlantic routes which I understand are usually very profitable.
