The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
From a novice to the experts out there. What’s people’s opinion on the future of this share.
Very intelligent and mature response.
You said ‘WE’. I take it your a flybe employee.
I should have put some maths in that statement. They’ve blown £30m of cash in six months. And winter is coming. If they don’t get help, how long do you think £50 mil will last.
Name one of them.
You are comedy gold.
I really admire your optimism/fantasism. You’ve been saying since this dropped the SP is going up. Others say it’s goung to be taken over by BA, Thomas cook, Jet2 LMFAO! Or ‘this is about to bounce big time’. Some really need to give up on those verbose ramblings. Sadly, it doesn’t look good overall. A buy out will probably be a savage cut up off the business.
Thanks. Praise at last. I’ll certainly keep an eye on posts and give my EXPERT opinion when I see some nonsensical ramblings. I do get confused why a few posters on here use the same line of full stops after their posts. Maybe you can help me with that. I appreciative your aprreciative nature. Thank you.
Cost cutting is definitely NOT an easy task for an airline. Everything is a fine balance and if you miscalculate it’s carnage.
Calling people knobs for their opinions is not very informed. It is clear that individuals have multiple online call signs in this forum. And it’s pretty obvious one or two work for the airline. Some have slipped with regarding Flybe as ‘we’. And some use the same style of writing. Why is this forum sometimes so toxic. Flybe could recover and yes, it could very well be unrecoverable. It’s next primary concern is staff retention in a buoyant job market. Lose enough crew and it could be crippling. Lots of smaller airlines have this concern. Winter may be tough for all airlines as it’s suppised to be a particularly bad one. I’ve said before that hope is great but anyone out there that has airline experience knows it’s an un forgiving and sometimes brutal master. Keep it civil.
I can safely say you have more chance of an alien invasion tomorrow afternoon.
Lack of people with aviation experience here. I will certainly stand corrected if I am wrong. You never know I may work or have worked for some of the airlines you are talking about. In the past, some of the stuff written here is utter drivel spouted by people who know nothing about airlines. I understand that hope is a positive driver. But it is only hope. But good luck anyway to everyone trying to recoup losses.
Honestly. What possible reason would jet2 have of acquiring Flybe. I know people want a positive outcome to all this but some of the stuff written is fantasy.
Basing crew where they don’t want to be is a concrete way of eventually losing staff. Experienced crew are now hard to recruit. a blanket attitude if ‘you want to be a pilot to put up with it’ is a philosophy that is draconian and doomed to result in negative outcomes for an airline. Most of the time taxis are needed due to FTL’s and duty of care requirements.
Not wanting to get into any arguments with anyone. My feeling is that nothing spectacular is going to happen with the share price until year end performance is known. Stobart seems to be swimming with bigger fish now and winter for Flybe could be problematic, as it’s rumoured the worst in 10 years. Patience may be the virtue needed. God knows I know that: I invested in eqtec and my blood pressure has been inversely proportional to the roller coaster share price. I am in aviation and.generally the whole industry can be like Russian roulette. Anyway, I hope they recover and good luck everyone.
Crew need a stable roster, lifestyle (minimum overnights) and good wages. Ryanair offer all of that.
Someone has just bought £205k worth!!!!!!! Very brave or nuts. Time will tell.
Thanks for reply. Jackpot soon hopefully.
Is there a suspicion that bad news is coming. The price has dropped c.25% in three weeks.
what the f... is happening with this share. It all looks so rosey.
