Just to confirm, you're saying we were able to double our SP in 27 days with BTC at the same levels but you are not sure we can double again in the next 338 days, when nobody really knows what BTC will do.... though the majority expect it will rise exponentially!?

I get it Phil, I do.... you had the 35% drop but missed the 35% days... they are the ones worth sticking around for.

I agree with that.... my main concern is with the greedy fomo traders who aren’t necessarily WSB devotees just following the money to try to grab a quick buck....

Let’s be honest there are likely plenty of Wall Street billionaires who have jumped on the bandwagon too and you can be sure they won’t be the ones left standing alone on the dance floor when the lights come up at the end of the night

It’s mostly the level those call options are placed and the assumption they were placed by big players who would have expected them to make them money... the majority of them are far higher than the current price. The two largest volumes are at 20k and 52k and the mean was, I think, around 43k...

This will be the 15th trading day since bitcoin hit the ATH of just under $42k.... I’m sorry so many people weren’t around to enjoy the start of the year, but let’s not pretend we’re some beleaguered, forgotten, unloved stock that just needs to be noticed... we’ve had some of the best days in the sun the LSE has ever seen.... Of course I haven’t enjoyed seeing thousands of ‘paper’ pounds drift away every day since then, but I have no doubt more of those days in the sun are in front of us too.

The only people who ‘need’ a good day are the ones planning to sell today.

I think a 30-35% BTC jump might give us 100%.... doubt it would be far off.... whether you'd ever get that in a day though is unlikely, if not unheard of.

I'm afraid 'it has to' isn't a good enough reason.... I strongly suggest doing some research on bitcoin and look back through charts down the years.... it's an incredibly volatile asset which often has a mind of its own.

The two most popular prices of all the options you mention are at $20k and $52k - yes the weight is towards the bullish side but there are nearly as many people expecting a drop, there are gaps on the chart sub 25k which many will say will be filled, others will say the weight of investors waiting for a good entry price won't let it ever drop below high-20s again.....

I'm afraid you're on a rollercoaster and the carriage is leaving the loading station and heading towards an unlit tunnel. This is space mountain. Nobody knows quite which way we'll lurch yet. Just be glad you have on a seatbelt. And take comfort from the fact so many people are riding it with you, all because we expect it could be the best ride we ever go on.

I think BTC is 75-90% of the driving force for sure, but I do also think the price has been held down regularly... the reason that makes most sense to me is that they are filling some big orders from IIs experiencing professional fomo.

Sunday night will be interesting for bitcoin... that may give us an indication of what the coming weeks have in store.

Technical Analysis

I mean it could quite conceivably revisit the mid-20s again before it hits 40k... that's certainly what most of the TA think will happen. Nobody ever knows what the bottom was until far later. The minutes, hours and days are not so important, so long as it is heading back up in the coming weeks and months then we're all good.

You'd love to think so but I think I'm right in saying that buys have outnumbered sells by more than double for at least eight straight trading days, yet the price has gone the other way.... my personal view is it's a combination of the BTC backtest and MMs suppressing the price to allow some big boys to hop on board before liftoff.
