What's weird ( and I may be mis-remembering) but I'm sure I saw earlier today the number of GGP shares (under GGP fundementals above) was 4053M - but looking tonight it says 4071M. Or am I going crazy? Probably the latter.

I've always based my recent LLOY investment on the basis ( or hope!) that it will return divis at some point to 0.0321p per year ( or higher? ) which is at current prices would be an eventual return of about approx 7.2%. Anything bought around 32p or less I believe will have an 'eventual' yield of 10%

How far do you need to drill to be technically under the surrounding tenements, ha?! If you drill to the centre of the earth you're directly under everywhere.

For the "Days to Cover", Investopedia has following:

Days to cover is calculated by taking the quantity of shares that are currently sold short and dividing that amount by the stock's average daily trading volume. A high days-to-cover measurement can signal a potential short squeeze.

Talking of double digit returns

If you can get a 10% yield ( on any given share ) from a downward spike in SP, then if the stock manages to double in value, selling half will obviously also half your dividend income. But you only have to invest the proceeds to beat a 5% yield to increase your original overall return.

I was thinking about this, mainly triggered by the backdrop of last week's frustrating-to-watch share price. I think most long term holders, commentators, GGP & Newcrest alike agree that Havieron is a staggering find. But my question is, is Havieron what the real jackpot is for Greatland? One of the things that many or at least a good few didn't expect was our push to become producers - holding on to as much of the asset as possible rather than selling off and starting all over again. So is the *real* jackpot actually two things - the transition from exporer to producer, but then coupled with this amazing asset that has allowed GGP to attempt this? The low SP to me is due to being in the no-man's-land of developer phase - especially being the minor partner. We've had both the advantages of being tied to a great major in the JV ( rapid exploration & development ) but also the disadvanges ( not having complete control ). But regardless of the current share price, if Greatland can comfortably finance themselves through this phase and come out the other side with the words 'producer' in the company description, then I think we're going to finally start hearing that jackpot paying out.

There appear to be an enormous number of junior gold or metals companies that are 30% - 40% down over a year.
This is certainly not GGP specific. Gold price has risen in this time frame. Bit bored of it now but I can wait 'til first pour.

Rough calcs, is the buyback roughlyy 3% outstanding shares (based on current prices)???
273M shares outstanding, $8.5 million to spend = £6.9M.
6.9M buys 7.66M shares @90p
7.66M is 2.8% of the 273M

Oversold & out of favour, plus down even more with the rest of the market - if it's at these levels when my lloy div comes I'm adding plenty. I like to accumulate for long term and this to me is an opportunity. It's lower than at the covid fall and it's still making plenty of money, paying dividends & buying back shares.

I've been a bit out of the loop recently so this may have been covered, but I think it's interesting in that proactive berenberg article that "Newcrest has indicated that it should publish an updated resource and reserve for the project following its June year-end" and also SD has said that the 5% negotiations may be "months" - does this mean that Newcrest put out their updated resource before the 5% is finalised?

I'll second that Panama - Dip, your transcripts are especially useful when I can't have my speakers on at work and don't want to wait til this evening to watch!

Just looked and last week most announcements came in after 8.15am - think things are starting to come through from other companies now.
