yes I agree with you that somethings brewing!

Over the past several days this share has risen very nicely from when I posted at opening price of 54.4 to now at 72.25 and the spread is still very tight. I suggest you consider that some short term profiteers will be making a run for it and see this starting to slip a little. Start to weigh up your options people but I still think this is a very good long term hold. Just saying the signs are there for a stall.

Yeah that's the last dividend currently 50% but cant see them announcing anything even close to that this time round to conserve cash.

Well that's why shares are great! Put your money where your mouth is LOL. Wish you luck but I'm giving this a wide birth as now they've lost three they'll have other companies seriously questioning their position and the companies viability which such a large loss in revenue. As you say, they have been given long notice period so this is good news. I wouldn't be surprised if they didnt just dispose of this aspect of their business - "good to great" and all that (if you've read the book - if not its a damn good read but you've got to have your analytical head on!)

Be interested to know your source so I can research it further, I went on previous RNS announcements. Yes I agree with you that it was a paper loss but still hard to swallow as just look what's happening with the banks and Uk building companies with their paper losses. Agree with no debt statement, however they cant take another hit like that with reduction in assets. I'll take a look at the website to gather more information if you have links to their statement then that would be good. Well done on your profit BTW! Hope it keeps going.

Why has this gone up doesn't make sense, unless short term profiteering and people working on the price being at the lowest point and on the bounce. Property portfolio down 67% and NAV exceeded 60% they made a loss of 628M (with 656M profit in 2007) yet it's gone up??? As for the rise, the last trade is definately a BUY based upon the transaction price. Personally, I can see this going much higher as this is near 3 monthly high (unless they announce disposal of assets perhaps) Ah, then again I've just spotted DES increased it's stake holding in the company on 25th March to 51% are they going to announce a further increase in their stakeholding (as it was them buying) and therefore subsequently launch a takeover??? If that's the case then that might explain it! Pure, pure random thought process and speculation on my part!

Money Makers at work, theres 437 trades all small so they are manipluating the price. Found them doing a couple of others as well this afternoon.

MMS's seriously at work, look at the transaction history.... Lots of small sells for 100. Also Standard Life have just issued 8.3 disclosure saying that they have gone long with 4.4M shares http://www.investegate.co.uk/Article.aspx?id=200903261417465510P. Be interesting to watch.

Takeover Panel has just ADDED NUT to the list, I thought that they had ceased talks with Elder and also Elder provided a statement today stating that talks had ended. So I assume that because they are now listed as an additional that an improved bid has come in with rul 2.10 applied (more information to follow)???

I said at lunchtime when there was a temp SP was at 9.5p that I was hovering over the BUY button but didn't go for it as something said dont do it. I'm now showing 5.5 - 5.9. Thanks goodness for that!
