This company is just odd and doesnt seem like anyone knows anything. Not even themselves. When I first put the announcement on the special dividend you definately couldn't buy. I did dummy buy and said that was fine. As for price jumping yes its huge. Few mins ago buy 40p, sell 20p. Now showing buy 30p and sell 25p. Hey Sainty. If you got in this morning at 8p you must be laughing - wish I did now.

In the interim statement they said a highlight was: "Disposal of Springlake for approximately R150 million on track" Wonder if this is what they are on about. Also previously about a year ago they did the same thing and released RNS statement and then withdrew it later with no further information.

Now that is really odd RNS - probably the strangest I've seen. WTF are they talking about.... They need to take English lessons. Is this exercise caution, dont sell as going to jump..... or excercise caution, dont buy as going to crash??? IMPORTANT ALL READ.... If you've gone for TRIP shares. I then phoned Triple Point directly and spoke to there investor relations contact. He confirmed: 1) You had to own the shares by end of play yesterday to get the dividend. So if you bought today you WILL NOT get it 2) The dividend is definately confirmed at 67.9p (hope you didn't buy with III because you'll only get 1/10th of it!) 3) There are NO shares available in the company on the public market so you will not have been able to execute hence why the are not showing. I said to him that few people here have said that they have bought and he said that's impossible the trades would not have gone through. So expect them to be cancelled and returned to you.

FFS-I'm getting a lot of conflicting information from III. My understanding is that: - SPECIAL ONE OFF DIVIDEND 67.9p as per this RNS announcement and you had to hold them at the close of business YESTERDAY to get the payment. http://www.investegate.co.uk/Article.aspx?id=200904011718119629P However, I have just phoned my brokers III and they said that on the system it say the dividend is just 6.79p. I left it, checked the RNS again and then phoned III for a second time. The broker then said YES you can get the payout if you buy now as you need to hold them by end of today but dividend only 6.79p. Again, I said to him about RNS, quoted the number and I went through to the specialist Dividend team. They said it's confirmed on the system dividend of JUST 0.679 (less than 1p) and the dividend record date was yesterday not today. Talk about bunch of idiots. PS: Gutted I didn't get them this morning at 8p!

WTF - When I try and buy this through III it says you cant buy. Who you using??? I will be really really PSSD off if you can now buy and I missed it at 8p this morning.

Well I'm glad I didn't stick £100 on it as that would be 45% loss by the time you add in the commission both ways (down 25 quid plus 10 quid buy and 10 quid sell cost) =£45 oh and I didn't add commission so that's more like 48%.

Yes it would be great the fact that you pay now just 8p and get a special dividend of 67.9p. However, this is an investment fund and therefore not available for open for general "trading". SAGITTACAT - I agree with your analysis and sums - no your not a numpty HMAC - yes there is a record date, as long as you own them at the close of business on the record date then yes you get the dividend, you can then immediately sell at 08:00:01 the next morning and still get the payout. With Record dates be a little careful, generally you have to buy 3 days in advance because it takes a litle while for your registration to be processed and be on the list. However, this is a special investment fund and cannot be generally traded. Shame!!!

As I wrote ysterday, the market cap was: 2700 * 661.99M shares = £17.87373Bn It's now just worth just over £7Bn. Bet the management team and bank manager not quite so happy now and wishing he didn't have quite so much champagne yesterday! lol

Ding, basement level! Another £75M contract lost. I can still see others following suit soon they're obviously doing something wrong or overpriced and the management needs to act quickly to stem the outflow. Hereslooking - Sorry missed about the "Good to Great" - its a business book which tracks some of the best performing businesses on the DOW over several years and works out the best traits of what makes "good companies great" with there share performance and what they all have in common. You'd be surprised at the traits and reasons why and also the list of companies on the list that they track. I had a few companies I thought of in my head that they would follow and picked none! Quite an eye-opener, but it's a heavy read and very analytical.
