I’d like the credit rating upgrade to come 3 or 6 months
later. Current momentum is strong enough for another 100 p rise just on the back of last years results and this years guidance. Once the sp gets settled around 475-500 then we may need some new trigger to take us further up.
I have about 50% of my holding in RR. Will hold this for couple of years more to realise the full potential of the amazing transformation under Tufan.
Previously my entire RR holding used to be in IAG. The best financial decision I have taken in life is to have sold all of my IAG around 204 p about 2-3 years back and invest it all in RR at 101 p.
The decision was more of an accident rather than having foresight. I normally don’t day trade or range trade, but this time has sold IAG to buy it back 10p lower. After my selling IAG went up by 10p instead and I then moved to RR and have stayed here since. It’s paid of very handsomely.
This will come good in 2025. Multiples of todays share price.
No need to watch this SP everyday.
Pre pandemic this was a loss making company having made losses 3 years in a row. It’s highly profitable now with a turnaround story as you would have read in today’s press. So share price should not be compared with pre pandemic. Imo, sp has a potential to double from here in a year or so.
This may end in green today imo.
Achieving the guidance EBIT against such a poor
macroeconomic backdrop is great.
Dividend might not impact share price as much as SMR positive news or progress on narrow body or improvement in credit rating to investment grade. Any of these three events happening could likely lift the sp to £5 or £6 imo. DYOR
