RE: Looks like us.7 Dec 2020 22:45
Just to get a ‘common sense’ check on the ‘meaning’ to be drawn from the updated test validation page under the heading ‘Validation concluded or paused’ (as per links already provided).
The speculation is that this is us (i.e. BAMS) …
TVG reference 43 Laboratory Mass spectrometry Validated as a part of a broader pilot (different validation route)?
And also, I hope, these are not us …
TVG reference 95 Point of care test Antigen tests Validation paused to clarify assay performance. In addition, contradictory statements in the IFU on the assay?
TVG reference 97 Laboratory Lateral flow Additional information on the performance of the assay requested but not provided to date?
I’m assuming that the last 2 above cannot be us because we are not yet at the stage to provide samples from pre-production batches that would have required Technology Transfer to BBI to have been completed?
All the other tests in the ‘concluded or paused’ list (with no names, except Biosensor?) are not us, as different technology?
We do not appear in the (named) ‘Validated technology’ list or previous similar lists?
So, in summary …
BAMS could be underway and not far off?
Our LFT is not in the list of 38 (unnamed) ‘Validation concluded or paused’, or in the list of 7 (unnamed) ‘Validated technology’? Our LFT may be in the list of 45 (unnamed) ‘In early stages of validation’ or 15 (unnamed) ‘Currently being validated or evaluated’? Our LFT is, no doubt, being validated independently (as well) of govt.?
Notwithstanding the above, we’re waiting for TT to complete, then Sir Al will tell us what’s going on with LFT?
As I said, just a status check – happy to be proven incorrect and corrections very welcome.
