RE: UK gov LFT specifications14 Jan 2021 11:11
@Okehurst1, interesting thread.
We do Affimers. Affimers are great. Affimers have huge potential. Just wait until we get them into the human body. In the meantime, Sir Al, just get on with delivering some tests.
David Wilson (noted by @Yorkshirepragma), we need to collaborate. We do. Tick.
We need help to develop working tests – Cytiva, BBI, Adeptrix (and Bruker). Tick.
We need high specification tests – see ELISA, BAMS announcements, and ~300pg/ml for LFT. Tick
We need manufacturing – BBI, ABDX, ODX (?), coming in Asia (?). Tick.
We need things testing and approving – LSTM, Porton Down, CONDOR, etc. Tick for LSTM, Govt. hmmm???
Govt. wants a ‘sovereign’ test, maybe an NHS ‘branded’ test? Would expect they want the best? Or maybe they just want the cheapest? Risk here.
We need a market – yep, looks like there will be a need for some time. @PL75, yes global opportunity – let’s sell to ‘Chi-nah’. Tick.
We must be ‘nearly there’.
