The establishment ie Govt,big business,Bank of England ,IMF et al, forecast economic carastrophe if we even voted to leave ! We still voted to leave and none of this happened.If we leave without a trade deal there will still be no catastrophe because economic sense always trumps politics in the end.There will be no shortages ,no queues at Dover etc. because if that starts to happen we can abandon all tariffs on imports and if domestic businesses are hurt by that in the short term we can subsidise them with the cash we save from EU .Then what will the bureaucrats do ?

My experience was less enjoyable.Going back to my room in a courtyard after my round I met 2 ‘window cleaners’ exiting just leaving my room.They had stolen my wallet and credit cards,luckily they must have heard me returning.If I had met them in the enclosed courtyard my fate could have been much worse !

If you believe that the company can fulfil its goals then shorting makes no difference whatsoever to the ultimate share value.Just forget it and wait for the good times

Its not the job of any BOD to comment on share price movements unless some specific rumour is in the wind

My Favourite economist John Greenwood has been right about most things since 2000.He is a monetarist and is guided by the volume of money in circulation and the business cycle.He retains a positive outlook for the US economy and equities as well as for the rest of the world insofar as US economy impacts on the rest of the world.Look up his CV.I would rather believe him than financial scribblers

Projects like HUR and SXX are 'jam tomorrow' situations,and plenty of it,unlike most companies who sell stuff they already have access to or provide services.There are no sales or profits to analyse on which to base a current share price evaluation.The share price moves purely on sentiment which can be volatile and market traders who take advantage of that volatility.For most of us the only reason to hold these shares is because we believe in the project and its eventual outcome.In the meantime there is absolutely no point at all in trying to second guess why the shares are up or down on any given day,it matters not a jot.
There will be future events like EPS or FOIL for HUR and Stage 2 financing for SXX which will be the basis for reevaluation but until then believers must believe and ignore the noise.

SG have you considered how businesses could operate without banks ? Don't generalise because of a few bad apples,I think you are more intelligent than that !

I think you need to rethink your views on the economic performance of Europe PAAA.Compare it with USA and Far East and maybe ask the youth of Southern Europe why their job prospects have gone.When you quote business you must mean ‘big’ business who prefer the status quo and over regulation which helps to deter disruption new companies and competition.

Well said Alan G,Ask the southern European states ,Greece,Spain,Italy etc what caused their youth unemployment rates to soar and why their economies are in dire condition.The rigidity of so called rules,which they allow Germany and France to break,are apparently unbreakable in coming to a trade agreement with UK.More fools them.The rest of the world is overtaking Sclerotic Europe in economic growth and we need to be aligned with them .
