The Financial Conduct Authority ("the FCA") temporarily suspends the securities set out below from the Official List effective from 16/03/2020 08:00 at the request of the company:

In a bold, emergency action to support the economy during the coronavirus pandemic, the Federal Reserve on Sunday announced it would cut its target interest rate to zero.
The last time the Fed cut rates to zero was during the global financial crisis just over a decade ago.
In addition to rate cuts, the Fed also said it would purchase another $700 billion worth of Treasury bonds and mortgage-backed securities. It also struck a deal with the Bank of Canada, the Bank of England, the Bank of Japan, the European Central Bank and the Swiss National Bank to lower their rates on currency swaps to keep the financial markets functioning normally.
Although the underlying US economy has remained on solid ground -- unemployment is at a historic low and consumer confidence has stood near all-time highs -- the Fed said the coronavirus outbreak has significantly hurt the global financial conditions.

Finablr said: “The board is focused on providing transparency to the market on its financial position as soon as possible.

The company also raised concerns about the impact an accounting scandal at the troubled hospitals firm NMC Health was having on its reputation.

The two businesses have several shareholders in common, but Finablr said it had not discovered any undisclosed transactions or financing deals. However, it said it would launch an independent investigation into its financial position. The news caused its shares to plummet 65% to 8p by 12pm on Thursday.

Going the other way, Travelex owner Finablr rocketed to the top of the index, having tumbled on Thursday after saying it was under pressure from the NMC Health scandal and the coronavirus outbreak and was "urgently" reviewing its liquidity and cashflow. It said it would commission an independent investigation into its finances.

"Following further discussions with the company's executive management, promoter shareholders, independent auditors, and in light of meetings of the audit committee, the board has been reassured that the company has no undisclosed related-party transactions or unrecorded on or off-balance-sheet financing arrangements. Nevertheless, to provide further assurance to the board and the market that this is the case, the board will shortly commission an independent investigation into the company's financial arrangements," said the statement posted on London Stock Exchange where it is listed.

Adverse perceptions in the market that the circumstances surrounding NMC Health PLC (the management, operations and finances of which are independent and separate from those of the Company) are relevant to Finablr, which have exacerbated current levels of stress on the Company's cashflow position.

The Company's operations continue to function as normal. The recent cyber incident at Travelex is in the course of being resolved and has no impact on 2019 results and also is not expected to have a material impact on the Group's performance in 2020.

SNG001 showed promise in part one
SNG001 is a cold and flu treatment for COPD sufferers, whose symptoms – coughing, mucus production and shortness of breath – tend to be exacerbated by respiratory viral infections.

These exacerbations are a major healthcare burden and, as CEO Marsden said, the second most common cause of emergency hospital admissions.

Part one of the phase II trial concluded earlier this year and involved dosing ten people who had no evidence of viral infection to examine levels of antiviral biomarkers in response to SNG001.

Results showed that not only is SNG001 safe and well-tolerated but that it also boosted anti-viral defences in the lung to prevent viruses spreading from the upper respiratory tract (nose, mouth and throat).

The aim of part two is to study the efficacy and safety of the inhaler in up to 120 COPD patients with a confirmed respiratory viral infection.

Synairgen said in September that the phase II trial was progressing well, with four new sites added in 2019.

The drug is being developed to treat people with COPD that are suffering exacerbations caused by cold or flu.

The biomarker data has been taken from part-one of the study, in which patients were treated when they did not have a cold or flu infection.

Analysis of samples from the lung showed treatment with inhaled interferon beta boosted the lungs' antiviral defences.

As a result, Synairgen is now more confident of a positive result from part-two, when patients do have a confirmed respiratory virus infection.
