Reasons not to love this share at its current price...... anyone?

£3m for the av.com domain. WOW. Hope they are going to start splitting out the results of this acquisition separately from now on so we can all sit back in the knowledge it was money well spent and is paying its way.

They are not cash flow + currently, or they'd have said as much. I think the words have been 'there was one month last year when we were cash flow positive'. On the plus side, they should be able to get a loan secured against all that shiny new production kit they now own.

This must be significant for it to have been announced, but I can't see any estimates of the scale of the revenues that might come as a result. Hopefully this will be made clearer soon?

So why is this company trading at 10% of its issue price c.18 months ago?

They seem to have done everything they promised so far? Built out factory and production capacity, engaging with prospective customers to build sales pipeline, won initial contracts across both divisions, generated revenues. No doubt they will be raising money again soon but all looks on track as far as I can see.

Call me old fashioned but I can't find the 2023 accounts on the website even though they say they are there today.

£158m market cap. 124 stores. So over £1m price tag per retail outlet if you look at it that way. Revenue to market cap also close to 1:1 which is toppy when you consider other UK specialist retailers of this size at the moment. So price still looks half full as opposed to half empty to me despite the recent declines. It will be interesting to see how their new store layouts perform - and also what the refit cost is per store vs additional income they expect to generate. Japanese strategy looks sensible and hopefully there will be more international expansion plans announced.

I suspect there may be more floors to explore below this one yet which is why I am keeping powder dry. Still no idea on when the results are to be announced.

Has anyone got any views on the figure they give for sales lifetime value of £302. Looks low to me compared to other retail sector. Could this be an opportunity?

£20m or so market cap looks like a bargain in the medium/long term given their property asset base, customer data, and software platform.

Year end presentation also says their "platform supports multiple verticals" - so maybe we will see them diversify further into other markets to get that sales lifetime value up a bit.

Let's face it. We know the results for 2017 are going to make for grim/quick reading. What I am hoping for however is that for once the Board can use the opportunity to outline a) what it will take to achieve meaningful revenues, b) how they intend to get there (and why it is reasonable to think they can achieve it) and c) what the scale of the opportunity is in the next 2-3 years. Failing that, given where things are presently the announcement of a quick sale of the company to a larger group for cash at 10p+ would suffice.

....Ignoring the old favourites of invoiced sales and deferred income stats for a moment, is the number of productions using Forscene the leading KPI we should all be focussed on? or is there another? Anyone know if the 18 is a net number? (have there been any productions that have ceased in the month?) and if it matters, what's the total? Oh, and are the snazzy graphics on the BBC clips from Wimbledon done on FBT tools? The founder has started a blog. I am looking forward to reading this and understanding how they now intend to scale revenues.
