Hey Scott you are right maybe I was a little harsh on talktalk sign me up as they are the cheapest after a year. Oh heck someone just took all my money out of my bank out and has done an identity theft on me. I can't do any emails as to sort it as my broadband is down. Aaaaaahhhh!!!!

Well if I was with a bank and they leaked loads of customer details they would not get my money to look after if it was my account they leaked or somebody else's I guess some people are relaxed about rubbish service and their details at high risk of being leaked 3 timesThere are plenty of fools about who accept big risks to their personal bank details but I'm pretty sure your bizzare sample aside most normal people do worry about this risk

Will definitely see 1.80. I've heard customers moving to BT. I think 1.89 will be hit sooner than I thought. I don't think it will get to 1.40 unless next quarter results show shocking customer losses and bigger costs to make them secure from Irish child hackers. They certainly need to write off those growth ambitions I believe. It still has a large PE ratio so plenty of downside yet. I've revised my short to close at 1.60.

Hope you took on board what I said 2 months ago you would have saved or made good money. I do think 180 will be first hard resistance. Some silly posters on here who think 3 security breaches of customer details is a minor thing and that they will beat BT soon with their investment in security. This business had done nothing to show me its really cares about customers. They really do need to get rid of execs who set this culture starting with the directors who run their technology division.

Totally agree large number affected directly and a very large number indirectly through loss of confidence. Anyone who thinks this is a little issue three breaches loss of personal details and their arrogance towards must be mad! Dropping again I'm holding out for 1.80 when I will start looking at my short. Their service is cheap but things are usually cheap for a reason. They don't be getting my custom my family or my friends. I'd go long at 1.80 or less in the hope of a takeover to get a decent culture and management team in place

I agree I've got a short running still and I think it will drop further. More niaive investors here not thinking clearly or rationally seem to be wishfully thinking that 3 appalling security breaches atrocious customer service and the arrogant way they treat people trying to work for them will all be forgotten soon. Next qtr results will show how bad this has been in terms of lost customers and costs. At the same time their competition is growing signifantly their strenghts. Brand and reputation takes years to build and can be destroyed overnight. I'll be closing my short between 1.6 to 1.7. I'd luv to see some of their bad managers fired to show us they ate serious about adressing cultural problems

Silly post very naive. BT ate certified to carry MOD highest security data.TT lose customer data 3 times by a 16 year kid. And you think they can beat BT in a month are you totally clueless here? On top of that u think a cheap is a it takes they need to sustain a decent margin but I think they will struggle as they everything to stop customers leaving on mass plus IT costs. What's everyone's view on a TT profit warning?

So lowest cost is all that matters to you? The fact that they had 3 hacks stealing customer data is ok is it as its less that they thought? Does service even not come into your thinking? Their customer services is poor andthey treat people badly but you dont mind as long as your pay less? I dont find a cheap deal enticing at all if they are allowing criminals to get hold of my data and I think you will find in the next results alot of other customers think that too. This a a serious breach I agree if nobody sold this stock after this major breach or shorted it then the price would not have fallen then thats a silly point isnt it. The fact is that people did sell and short and I short it too as I believe the loss of customers, prospective customers, brand damage and costs to sort this will cause a significant earning downturn and next quarter will reveal this.

The point here is nobody knows what is going on. They drip feed bad news there may be massive fines from breach of data protection act and class actions. Revenue will definitely be hit and I personally think it will be a shocker....but nobody as yet knows if this be limited or be hugely damaging and there will for sure be a big cost uplift in IT security. You have to trust the values and beliefs of a business in this situation and be honest do you? BUT we dont know they dont tell us, treat people and customer with an unbelievable arrogance. They leaders have big equity packages so I should think they are hurting like hell seeing their wealth drop but they should be focused on honesty fairness, people and customers. Alot in the senior team really need to go they are not capable establish a culture needed here to drive long term value. Why havent the leaders of the technology division at least been asked to leave. I certain there will be lost of bad news to come from this yet which is why my short and spreadbet is going knowhere. |I think the look back to last quarter is the best news we will have from here now for a while and Im waiting for a long trickle of bad news now relating to this. Really cant see upside here. Nobody has mentioned the massive and improving strength of the competition they have tp compete against here (BT EE) which has clearly strengthened hugely very recently whilst TT have hugely weakened. Dont get too excited these results are back looking and the current position is as we all know a bit nasty. I beieive next quarter will not be pretty at all as the problems start to be reflected in results. Who honestly believes that growth will be positive next quarter?
