have you got a target price, jolly?

It sounds as though this new scheme is essentially GAH giving a delegated underwriting authority / binding authority to those brokers. Usually it is only vanilla risks which get put under a binding authority of such kind so it's usually a profitable operation. And, of course, the huge benefits for insurers giving brokers a binder is that it comes at no cost to them so the profit margins will be fantastic here. I'm not invested here. It's just on the watchlist and I need to do the research, but I'm liking the sound of this company from what I can see.

re: MOS I know exactly who you’re referring to without having to name names and his remark was entirely uncalled for, although I think he did apologise. It was not the best apology, I’ll give you that, but it’ll do. Thank you for the complement, and I agree with you – MOS has a good future and their revenue streams outside of Argentina is certainly growing. What is interesting about my opponent there is that he used to be entirely bullish on MOS. In fact it wasn’t long ago when I was the most cautious and conservative on MOS’s relatively quiet bb compared to people like him. Yet somehow the poor Argentinian situation has suddenly turned him full on bear to the extent I don’t feel like his analysis is at all fair. Yes the Argentinean situation is poor but that’s reflected in the share price and, at the end of the day, despite the economic environment MOS still grew! He seems to have lost all faith in the BoD and it’s based on very limited information. He now talks as if the January update shows how incompetent they are but I think he forgets just how fast the company grew over their 2013 financial year. If I told you there was a company currently valued a £10m, in a good financial position, with earnings before tax (2013) that are almost half the market cap – how could you honestly think that was overvalued? I like that maxim, and you’re right – I should exercise forbearance – so I’ll try my best not to respond to him. Let’s see what happens… Best regards, Dan

In response to your 1st post: Easy mistake to make so don't worry about it, mate. Ah fancy that. You may well know more Italian than me because I haven’t been learning for long and I highly doubt my Italian teacher is as good as yours! Your old Italian teacher sounded incredible. Despite an Italian back ground I’m not that big a fan of Italy. I went to Rome in November but that was my first visit to the country in 6 years. Rome is absolutely amazing and so I highly recommend it. Although I have to say Florence is lovely too! It is also where my dad’s only sibling has chosen to live to, whilst my dad decided to live here in England of course. No I haven’t heard about OEX, let alone get swept up by the story. Care to explain why you’re such a fan now? It is a pleasant surprise to hear that you’re in AFPO too. And I agree – AFPO does look undervalued. Great mind think alike, eh? In fact, now I think about it, the list of shares we’re interested in or crossed paths on is growing. It now consists of, inter alia, the following: SYQ, BMN, MONI, OMIP, AFPO, IQE, etc. If I ever have the money to spare / make mega profits somewhere that list will grow further no doubt. Honestly I’m just so short on funds right now. MOS was the last purchase I made and I’ve been trying to replenish my funds ever since because I couldn’t afford the size of the investment I made to be honest. I stretched my finances to the limit to get in before that January update, which is part the reason why I was so sore when it resulted in the worst loss I’ve experienced yet haha! Oh it’d be lovely to confer with Ben Graham but it’d be about as realistic as asking for Warren Buffett’s advice on a stock today – it just wouldn’t happen unfortunately. Kind regards, Dan

Not a chance we'll be anywhere near these levels by year end mate. Honestly the 2014 HY results are going to blow everyone away! That's when things will really heat up :D

I went for lunch and have came back to see we're ~18% down today for no good reason. It's such nonsense and has happened so fast that I expect us to rebound upwards somewhat from here on in. 100p is a decent support level because it is psychologically significant (just look at the chart) so I doubt we can drop much lower if I'm proven wrong here.

- Superb business model. Light weight / low cost and therefore great profit margins that will only improve with the launch of their OTT service. - Very competent BoD - Geographically well positioned. - Fundamentally very strong with 2014 EPS expected to be close to 9p and, as discussed previously, that's very realistic / achievable. - Incredibly high growth company with fantastic prospects & a winning formula. - Whilst I see 144p to be fair value based on the average P/E ratio of 16, the market often applies much higher multiples to shares like SYQ (considering its growth and sector) which means an end of year target of 200p is not unreasonable. MOS, Sorry if I gave off the wrong impression. I respect Bonker's opinion and totally accept he's a more talented chartist than I am and I know he's just telling it as he sees it. I was just surprised that the next support level was so much lower than the current price, that's all. Bonker, Please accept my apologies if you took offence. Thank you for sharing your thoughts :)

95p is the next level of support?! really? I thought it'd be closer to 110p

Yesterday I said the following "However we must not get complacent because profit taking will inevitably come soon and that may break the upward trend we’ve enjoyed these last 5 weeks." and today we've seen some profit taking as expected. Watching the share price fall has admittedly given me twitchy fingers but I know I must (and will) resist the temptation because the fundamentals are very strong here, things can change quickly, and I'd hate to sell now and then have to buy back in at a higher price (a v realistic prospect here). I won't even properly consider top slicing until 150p at least. Top slicing now is much too early and will just leave me worse off (with less profit) in the long term. Considering this fall is more significant than I first realised I'm changing my advice to: Hold, don't panic, and buy on the dips when the price stablises a bit :)

I've seen this happen before back when we were in the 60s (before the massive rise of course) so, when I see a fall on such tiny amounts sold like today, I actually feel a bit bullish. My advice remains Buy and Hold :)

Shan, What's the typical price to free cash flow ratio? Sorry but I'm unfamiliar with the metric. Considering you think LPA is very undervalued do you intend to buy in? If so what holds you back - do you see a dip in sight? Trev, Hello my fellow SYQ investor, I could say the same to you! Haha Yeah LPA looks good from what I can see. of late. I know that many of the posters I really respect are big fans of this so I have no idea why I've never bothered researching it that much but it looks good here even if I have missed the recent rise. Will let you know if I buy in, and well done to you all :)

Morning George, I bought on the day of the IPO like many others at 77p. We then all witnessed a dismal share price performance upon floatation and many bolted immediately because they clearly were only there for a quick buck. Those who stayed watched a downtrend develop causing many others to sell. I remember one guy selling at a 20% loss because that was his investing rule – to cut his losses at 20% before things got worse. I tried to convince him to make an exception to the rule in SYQ’s case but he sold out and locked in that loss. Shortly after el1te trader posted an article on his well-read and well-respected website reviewing SYQ, which you can read here: http://www.theel1tetrader.com/2014/01/syqic-pay-tv-on-go.html. He gave it a ‘No Rating’ and, for the first time ever, I totally disagreed with him and argued SYQ was strong buy at 65p, as you can see from the comments at the bottom of the article. A few days after his article we hit our all-time low of 60p. But then we suddenly managed to break the 65p resistance level and we’ve been in the current up trend since! So yeah I didn’t buy in at 60p but I would have if I could have. As usual I just didn’t have the funds. I did the next best thing though and convinced my mates jollyspectator and rob229 to buy in around then so those lucky bastards are sitting on more % profit than I am haha! Yeah there’s tons of momentum at the moment with almost entirely buys for the last 5 weeks (regardless of what they’re reported as). However we must not get complacent because profit taking will inevitably come soon and that may break the upward trend we’ve enjoyed these last 5 weeks. All the best, Dan

Good morning all, This share is flying way faster than I could have ever predicted. Whilst it is now getting to levels where I am feeling a little tempted to sell I plan on holding out for 200p at least, especially considering that my holding isn't actually that large believe it or not due to a sheet lack of funds at the time of buying. Why? Because I've done the research, I know this has so much further to go, and I can't think of a better place to invest. I'm glad to see that Trevally is back on board the SYQ ship! It's also great to see this bb livening up. Let's try and keep the civility that the lovely Rob229 brought to the bb if we can. And yeah it is cigar time and it has been every single day for a month for me tbh considering I stuck my flag in the ground here even at 60p saying we should be worth 144p at the very least by year end.
