Nice to see Panmure Gordon agree with me here. Their 355p would provide a 18% upside from here, which I think is very conservative. I think we can do far better than that :)

Babbler, I don't know about the EEV to be honest with you but when CSN's financial position is so good, the P/E Ratio is about 7 (compared to the usual 13-14) and the market cap is less than 6 times profits for the last 12 months CSN's share price ought to far exceed 330p, surely?

Ditto. I got my half buy in at 298p & I'd be delighted to buy even more at 280-290p if I get so lucky!

CSN does not do any annuities business. So don't worry about those other participants in the sector. We're not in the same boat.

The insurance sector is being slaughtered at the moment and therefore CSN has been UNFAIRLY dragged down with it. But who cares? Lets do what Warren Buffett would do and take advantage of this situation and buy

I've watched this for a while because I thought it was fairly cheap before. Now we know they have next to no annuity exposure and their profits have tripled I just had to buy in. They're currently trading at a P/E ratio of jusy 7 when the sector average is 13 or so. This is totally undervalued at present and it was the easiest decision to buy I've ever made.

Optimus, Thanks mate but I never got my buy in the end so I ended up topping up in BMN. Plan on buying in tomorrow though (pay day) so I'll be joining you soon, just at a higher price. And yeah this is rising before the news because, if you look at the HY results (in the admission document), you'll see profit before tax is heading for £15.6m (64% up YoY) - that's superb growth. The EV / EBIT ratio looks beautiful and all. I'm desperate to buy in!

Commissioned researcher Edison has published a note on Vislink (VLK) in the wake of its 2013 results claiming that the shares (now 47p) are worth 65p. As it happens the bullishness is shared by Tom Winnifrith & Steve Moore (see HERE). As such whilst this note is commissioned it may be worth a read. Edison concludes: Vislink’s FY13 results show that management’s diversification strategy is able to deliver growth in a fairly static global broadcast market. The acquisition of Pebble Beach Systems earlier this month is expected to accelerate this growth and take the group closer to achieving its stated target of annualised revenues of £80m generating £8m adjusted EBIT by 2014. Obviously need to do a research but right now I'm loving this simple & boring business :)

Way to prove my point... Seriously do you know anything about insurance, underwriting, combined ratios, ATE, the increasing burden of regulation on the insurance industry, what Insurers are judged on and - linked to that - the importance of reputation? How about the independent insurance company? Have you ever even heard of them? If not you should look them up. It'll show you how insurance companies can be crooked, how such companies can get away with it for a while but eventually it'll all come tumbling down for them. As someone who has even met a guy who lost over half a million in the independent insurance company I bloody well know. I know a thing or two about insurance too. So you can ignore my views if you want but it wouldn't be wise to.
