I bought only 800 shares of this a few years ago (100 quid) so I haven't even looked at it. I see I am slightly in profit. Anyone got any reasonable predictions as to where it could get to or should I run with my small profit??
I like to play about with calculating different averages e.g. if i put in another £100 what does the average come down to, £200, £300 etc. Just depends on how much you can afford at the time. When it is this low compared to the 2.80 I was buying at, it took only a small amount to tumble the average down.
Hi Skull3r
Certainly I also know not very much about investing and have also been doing it 3-4 years - sounds like we got into this just at the wrong time. I was buying some of these at £2.80! I had an average of well over £2 for a long time so know what it was like to be 98-99% down. I think around last year I put in £500 to get my average down to £1.40 and then a couple of months ago when my QBT finally broke came back I sold all of it at a 10% profit and put all that in here (£820) and that took my average down to £0.50 here.
I know that today looks ugly but it is nothing compared what it has grown over the past few months. If you can average down with just a couple of hundred quid, do. Otherwise, don't! Certainly no point in selling for £100. As for medium to long term - I have no idea but if it behaves like it did last bull run, why shouldn't it get back over the £3 mark? But that is just hope talking!
I am nearly back to breaking even on this after having bought last year at something way too expensive. In the meantime I have taken my eye off all my crypto related stocks because it was all just so dire. But given this may well break even soon, should I get out when it does or are all you lot expecting some big things from this?
@sharebel we are talking about different things. the modeapp stores peoples' bitcoin. what i am saying is that my bitcoin is in the app, the app is about to be taken offline, i will lose access to my bitcoin forever and there is NO ONE at this company that can be reached. SYME has nothing to do with it.
The app is supposed to go offline today meaning everyone with bitcoin in there needs to move it.
Of course (!) they have made it so that it is near impossible to do with so many error messages. Try to contact customer support? Nope - they're offline.
This company is going to fold imminently and it is going to take their app holders crypto with them.
I can't get mine out and there still seems to be no way round it.
generally a loss means you can't get it back. if you don't sell you CAN get your money back - so it isnt a loss by not selling. you are not cementing in the decline in value of your stock.
@insiderknowledge you know that very well and you know exactly what @yemaj is selling. stop with the faux outrage. by all means, step off the world if its too much for you.
