Seems very odd that 2 weeks ago the CFO posted about the annual report and was saying how excited he was to be part of th company and excited.
Then is dumped (appears with no notice), and the search for a new CFO is ongoing, and suddenly in 2 hours they found one who incidentally was the temp CFO who organised the brilliant fundraise.

Not sure the old (recent) CFO appreciates the speed, or inside staff who maybe didn't even get a chance to apply.

All very strange goings on.

Ford Is Getting Out Of The Level 4 Self-Driving Car Game
Following the shut down of Argo AI, Ford has withdrawn a petition to be exempted from safety standards for autonomous vehicles

Ford no longer wants to be exempted from safety standards that would have allowed it to test self-driving vehicles on U.S. roads. Had Ford been approved by the NHTSA, the company would have been permitted to test up to 2,500 autonomous vehicles annually.

Ford’s shift away from testing fully-autonomous tech is due to a wider strategy change that will see less emphasis placed on Level 4 automation for commercial fleets and a renewed focus on developing Level 3 driver assistance systems for privately owned cars. The initial petition had been filed in July 2021 and would have been used to trial ridesharing and package delivery.
