I think we ought to make it clear, we have not been awarded a contract but have been qualified to become part of a framework. It does not guarantee any revenue.
It does however state that the government expects testing to be a norm atleast for the next 4 years .
I went over to a family friend's house to drop some stuff today. Him and his wife and senior consultants at a large Berkshire hospital. They told us that they are putting plans in the hospital for the 4th wave. He is a very intelligent guy but is also equally naive about many things. He can talk to you about botany but cant do internet banking - you can get a picture. Both of them over 60.
He mentioned that they both got the Pfizer vaccines and a top-up is due shortly. He thinks covid will stay with us for a long time, atleast another 5 years + where the whole world will need to get some type of top-up vaccination, before the general population gets immunity to the virus - similar to the spanish flu.
Based on his assessment, testing is here for a long time at a fairly high rate, and NCYT will have a comfortable time frame to morph the covid revenues to other fields. IMO GM's concerns about near-mid term revenues are only going to be marginally affected.
Thanks for the insight Wilson!
Noobie question here. Why does the board need to announce takeover? If 1 entity keeps buying and buying can they not be taken over in theory? If the board announces - only the directors have direct power to sell the shares.
Hey guys the profit warning is on 2020 FY results. They estimated roughly 300m in Jan, but they Q4 revenue is debate as I understand so hence the profit warning - happy to be corrected.
It will take 4 months to review all the tenders, qualify them technically and commercial and place the PO. I am hoping we get visibility of phase 2 during the annual results.
hey guys, i found a profile on Linkedin who was a novacyt territory account manager - Midlands (fixed term contract). Her profile is now "open to work". Dont think its appropriate to put the person's name here so, if you want to email me at levinpiouslin@gmail.com, i can share the name & link.
My interpretation of this is that the traditional phase 2 is not happening - it might be something different to what was envisaged. It could also be that this person was not best suited for the job, so she was let go. If you are expanding, you want to stick to employees who have gained experience in your org.
I think the 80 mins is suitable for those that travel on business at short notice . I used to be one where I often got asked to travel on a days notice, prior to the pandemic. That is a small portion of the market but nevertheless, we are likely to have captured the entire market.
Promate *
They always have solid material in their RNS, but manage to throw in 1 questionable statement which sends the SP down. What do you guys make of 80 mins ? Would you mind hanging around for 80 mins to get results - thought primate was meant to be quicker ?
Might come across daft, but how do you tell for certain that Karens post relates to a buy ? It does not state its a buy explicitly. Thanks.
ggggg, Process engineers are usually required for 2 reasons :
1) For scaling up. They are required to specify process conditions (flowrates, temp, pressure), to support the design the piping and equipment for the end product.
2) Troubleshooting. They are available to be on hand to ensure the facility performs correctly.
This role seems to be a bit of both - they might be expanding capacity. What do they manufacture in Eastleigh?
Thanks

Porky, i recommended your post. Its a very nice way to rally our troops. Might i request that you do 1 more thing and ask Shaun to come back - he is as nice to have as you, Vanv and the rest of the clan. He was hurting.
I rarely post, but even I want to point out that Porky's comment was uncalled for. Poor comradery.
Ad4you, did the broker note say anything about the microgen contract being won? Why is the Microgen contract which is a share of a larger pie, not being RNS'd? I would imagine the value is in the tune of 50-100M - would that not need to be RNS'd? What is your interpretation of the Microgen situation ? Thanks.
Hello.
I got in on this share at £3.20. At that time, i thought it was a risky investment so only had £4k. It dropped 40% over the course of a few months. Following the DHSC contract, i became bullish and added 20k to it at £7.90 due to the likes of ShaunPs work. I even put in 10k more at £10.50 again due to ShaunP's spreadsheet which was a good estimate. I am still bullish on this and looking for it to reach £20/share or when ShaunP sells, whichever is reached sooner.
A good point of reference is the CEO who put in 1/2 million of his own money. Given he knows best, i doubt he will let the SP slide for long below his buy-in price of 8.15. This to me is excellent value right now.
I saw a post a few days back stating that Microgen won a portion of the tender. It said 150m against it, but it was the case for all the other winners too. I am therefore not sure how much was won. Hoping its RNS worthy.
I think this is in oversold territory. GM bought at 8 GBP at the rate this is falling, we will be at the 8s pretty soo. The forward looking guidance is there - just not concrete.
Hopefully share falls to below 9 - got 10k to top up.
Hi guys,
Could someone help explain how MM's operate? Everytime the share price goes down, we seem to blame the market makers. How can the big banks and volume holders, act in unision to manipulate the price? Each entity will be dealing their own pack of cards.
Thanks!
To be sure we have broken the resistance, we need to shoot past 9.50.
