Wondering if Opti now want more than just royalties. If coke or Pepsi land or any other business of this scale they may be thinking they could take the full sale to these businesses instead of just the royalties from DSM Firminech.

I was encouraged by the report & will most likely add for the first time in years here. Sales have increased not hugely yoy but back to double digit growth & backed by a growing repeat order book from bigger customers across big markets.

It was a bit wordy for my liking but to summarise some great developments:

- Morepen launch ‘extremely successful’ has imo the potential to make the company profitable on its own short term.

- The US business starting to pick up pace with their recent launch going well with 3 repeat orders already & ahead of 2025 forecast to be achieved by July

- Nasdaq business launch & ‘one of the largest players in the weight management space’ from US in the works for launch in 2025.

- Record quarter for sales orders surpassing H1 2024 sales already.

- e-commerce has seen healthy yoy growth reducing full reliance on partners with launches on Amazon India likely to accelerate sales along with new products

- stock overhang on some of their biggest existing customers cleared. (64 metric tons is a lot of product to shift). Opti will now receive new orders from these customers

- Sweetbiotix behind but discussions with major partners including ‘two well known brands of popular beverages’ (rumoured to be coke & Pepsi). Yes annoying delay & nothing concrete but either of this type of business lands shareholders invested will not care or remember about these delays

- Generating cash in 2026. This was very nice to hear and suggest internal confidence growing.

- Reasonable cash in bank + 9m balance sheet with SBTX & PBX holdings

Overall it looked far more positive and some big steps forward commercially across each of the areas they stated at the beginning of 2024

Opti have a deal with DSM firminech along the same lines as Croda I.e royalties on sales. The sugar replacement market is bigger and DSM are multiple times larger than Croda. It may be a little further behind the croda launch but could be much bigger. Both companies should do well in their own right.

Good video and some more big numbers from Dr Morepen CEO. Between £18 - £27m by year 5. CEO himself says they are going really aggressive with this. Achieving even half these numbers will be game changing for Opti. Congrats Opti team looks like an excellent win.

These may be just targets but Morepen look a serious player in the market and shows their intent. Opti are also getting revenue from both ingredient & finished product so higher share of the pie so it really could be transformational. This looks and feels different to the usual launches by Opti partners and is the first time we’ve seen the partner coming out with big numbers. If these come in anywhere near little Opti will see a serious rerate north.

If Morepen deliver half of forecast & other partner sales head in the right direction this company will look totally different in 12-18 months. I am excited for sweet but the microbiome modulators also look a game changer for the industry if they finally get it to market.

It would be interesting to know the cost of the Lysate sold by Croda to its customers brands. This will give an idea of the ramp up as we have an idea to the range of the royalties. Those saying £25m next year are either naive or just ramping for a quick buck. If anyone knows would be good to see how quickly this could build.

Either way this deal looks different from others we’ve had high hopes for thst havent taken off. Opti seem to be taking a larger share of the pie in revs and profits and India is a great market where this type of product is affordable to the masses whereas these drugs certainly would not be. Morepen seem a solid partner in India and doing things differently so let’s hope this one turns out as forecasted and helps this company to profitability sooner rather than later.

Ozempic is for the obese i.e people passed the point of using something like Slimbiome so they are in totally different markets. Meal replacement market is saturated and declining before these drugs. Ozempic reduces hunger and cravings which is a similiar action to Slimbiome so doing the leg work of educating the average Joe to this way to lose weight. Ozempic will only help products like Slimbiome get traction from people looking for a healthier natural lifestyle products which work similarly but are natural safe alternatives. The drugs like Ozempic may reduce in cost but still require invasive injections and come with serious risks with very common side effects.

Total rubbish, if you look at the serious side effects and issues those drugs cause it opens a massive opportunity for products like Slimbiome which work is a natural and safer way. Who the hell wants to inject themselves.

Lords - an online investor platform a little different to putting it in RNS which is shared with the customer.

Considering they would have shared with Morepen for this PR release they were never going to put margins in the RNS. “By the way we make this much off you, can you confirm and comment on this RNS”. Pretty basic commercial rule in business is you don’t tell your customer how much your making from them. As I mentioned the other day the posting by some on here has gone seriously downhill

Looks to me like the budget is £1.5m and Opti are putting some money towards it for the first time. Opti won’t be putting in £1.5m for a partners brand…Seems like a massive launch with this partner going big. Very good to see

There’s a whole list of possibilities the share is increasing from it’s suppressed price. Not to mention the end of the PBX debacle & the ceo seemingly getting better. There was high volume coming in before any such rumours. There seems to be a handful of shareholders on this board who complain both when the price goes up and also when it goes down

If Frederick didn’t want to invest in an AQUIS company why did he change his mind? Has Steen sold him the future private dream? I am in shock at all this.

Wow Opti RNS. So he wanted to take it private at basement prices which would have decimated us but benefited him and his investor buying in at even lower prices. Taking private is usually done as a last resort when a company is in distress not a growth company verging on profitability in a very exciting area. This confirms my suspicions on what is going on. Steen is in it for himself and definitely not us. I think the chairman has a lot to answer for too who seems complicit in all of this.

This is as clear as day what is right and wrong and this is a disgrace. The dilutive raise aroused all our suspicions but it can now be confirmed a first step to gain control to support decisions like delisting in the future. The PBX RNS now looks like a stroppy teenager caught red handed and looks even more absurd with its assertions on Opti/SOH. Opti looks to have had no choice in pressing forward with this debacle. It seems quite clear one company is acting for its shareholders the other in the interest of its management.

Adyan great post and summary. Should it not have been such heavy dilution at such a ridiculous price (to his mate) and even an ounce of effort in trying to get good value i would be highly surprised anything like this would be happening.

All these personal jibes & whataboutery really is unprofessional, desperate and quite pathetic. It gives us an unsightly insight to the executive management here. For SOHs mistakes he built a solid foundation at PBX. A little more respect and understanding towards why investors are disappointed should be shown instead of petty attacks towards the founding company. This is why I use the word rogue as Steen seems to be acting without any consideration for existing holders and why I believe if he stays only him and his inner circle will reap the rewards at the expense of long term investors. I hope Opti doesn’t stoop to these levels in their response which could be interesting.

I am also not concerned or at all buy the story Steen is critical to this business or that it will fail without him. This company was handed to Steen with a solid foundation and an institutionally backed capital raise at a value 5x the recent placing price over £20m cap. It would not have been that difficult for Steen to get better value for shareholders considering the company is further forward than when it was valued at £20m. Only now he is selling investors his progress and himself to save his position. These efforts should have been focussed on getting best value for shareholders.

The accounts show us Seed health continues to be the main driver to the current growth. The removal of Steens wages along with other costs he’s added would make this company profitable and cash generating. The fact a totally independent institution, Seneca, not only supports this but raised the requisition tells its own story. Newbeer assuming you are not Frederick, as you have known Steen for 20 years you must be on the list for very cheap shares?

I’m sure SOH would rather not waste time dealing with this as a pointless and embarrassing distraction. He spun it out of Opti at an excellent financial position with the same partners currently delivering the growth that Steen is trying to take credit for. Should Steen bothered with the market and attempted to get good value for shareholders this nonsense would not be taking place. Instead, he’s sorted out someone he knows personally with cheap shares also benefitting his personal position in the process. Steen does appear to have a great track record in growing businesses so it’s a shame this is taking place. His actions withholding all this news we are now hearing about followed by the shocking raise at £4m market cap for an exciting company verging on profitability is unforgivable. He now cannot be trusted acting for shareholders in the future.
