Does anyone have an account?
It could take another 3-4 years before this chapter 11 case is closed anything can happen by then. An average case is 17 months and this is far from average. Cinema will be back on its feet by then.
Docket 1299 Debtor-In-Possession Monthly Operating Report for Filing Period ending 12/31/2022, $254922300 disbursed (Filed By Cineworld Group plc ). (Attachments: # 1 MOR Notes)
this is where you will find the financials for December
On the 27th of Jan looks like some work was done on a cineplex offer!
Pursuant to the DIP milestones (DIP Motion, pp. 21-22), November 14, 2022 is
the deadline for the Debtors and Majority Lenders to agree on an acceptable Business Plan.
Upon information and belief, the Debtors are attempting to negotiate the terms of a
reorganization that would contemplate a debt-for-equity swap by the Majority Lenders, but if
they are not able to come to an agreement by that date, the Debtors would be forced to
immediately toggle to a sale process with a greater risk of administrative insolvency
Dear Cineworld team,
In one word - WOW, an amazing performance Saturday on Cinema Day!
Once again we saw how many people love to go to the movies and how excited they are to explore the cinema experience and the big screen. One cannot argue with facts, Cineworld over performed in a big way and it is mainly because of you. Your dedication, commitment and love for the industry and the Company is what makes all the difference.
As I said to you a couple of weeks ago, we are taking proactive steps given the current situation is not simple. I am sure you are all worried but rest assured, things will become much clearer very soon. Having a team like you behind us makes me confident that we will come out of this situation strong and stable.
I toured some of the cinemas yesterday and watching the great spirit there was inspiring.
A big thank you to all of you, you are the best in the business and all of us will continue to be the Best Place To Watch a Movie!
Mooky
A few people on Reddit who work at Cine are talking about a company announcement early afternoon to staff members.
Cineplex should just buy Cineworld then cancel the court case.
Id say Mooky has lost the most
If this pulls through and the company starts to pay dividends again in 3/4 years time, will be a very early retirement
would get himself 3 cinemas for £100k
would hardly call it a bounce back
If anyone with insider knowledge thought this was not going under they would have told everyone they know to buy at this price. >£30m market cap.
Its a great way for the Chinese government to influence the movie industry.
Anyone have an idea of how long it takes for the Chapter 11 filing or Cine obtaining finance?
Sold out completely
They made a profit in 2017/18/19 and they will probably make a profit in 23/24/25/26. They just need to get through 2 months until November which is f'all in the scheme of things.
If Mooky had to dilute 99% of his shares I'm sure he would just file for chapter 7 and make the banks loose the lot.
Why are they not initiating cost cutting measures like closing the top 10% of loss making cinemas. Surely you would do this before going bankrupt.
