No the way I read it they have first refusal .. they can make the first offer but that doesn’t have to be accepted .. unless I am reading first refusal wrong but I don’t see that as being a guarantee that they can buy it !

Yep that’s why we have to rely on a very good management team .. but I am sure they will have taken all of this into consideration, in the in the eventuality an offer is made !

To be fair GGP should get a share if the benefits in the fair price valuation .. I would have thought with that cost not included in the operational costs of developing the mine, it should in all fairness and if GGP are on the ball give us a higher price per Oz of gold in the ground. IMHO

Jerry .. again thanks that figure is what 30% of Hav. Could be worth on the gold market after operational costs, give or take, even at $300 per Oz to GGP is roughly $2bn .. which is what I was saying in my other post ! Thanks for the discussion and the information guys . Whatever the outcome we should all be a lot better off !

Schlemiel, thanks for that .. those figures seem very small .. and I wonder if the fact that Telfer is so close and would reduce the operational costs will be taken into consideration. Anyway I was only playing about with figures, hoping someone would put me right .. anything between £1bn min and £3bn tops for 30% of Hav, would still leave Newcrest with a huge huge profit ... oh and us the same !

Jerry, yeah whether there is a panel or GGP and Newcrest come to an agreement who knows .. but what would 30% of 20/25m Oz be worth to Newcrest after operational costs .. which will be a lot lower than would be normally, due to the close proximity of a Telfer ! Only my thoughts but let say 8m Oz @ $1600 / Oz .. minus operating costs of let’s say 25%
Leaves 6m Oz @ $1600 . .. my phone calc doesn’t go that big !!!!!!

If we get as far as Newcrest wanting to buy out the 5% plus the additional 25% and the results are in the 20/25m Oz bracket .. I don’t suppose it will matter what our share price is, as the buyout would be for what 25/30 % of Hav is worth .. Am I correct ?
